This theatre and concession area has it all! Custom finishes of a 'ticket wicket' booth, concession cabinet with extra storage for even more candy, pull out cabinet sliders for ease of access on either side of the candy shelves, popcorn machine and video games! The door to the theatre is faux leather that is tufted with nailheads. Inside the theatre, the look is more glamourous and accented with reds and plums. Gold crown molding adds to the luxe feel while the damask fabric on the cushions and acoustic panels offer a nod to classic design. Every custom home needs a space that is as unique to its design as much as to the family that calls it home. This multimedia room includes a traditional home theatre with recessed seating as well as a golf simulator—providing a dual purpose. The multimedia room is intentionally located in the home where the sound is muffled to the remainder of the house when in use. The room is finished out in 7.2 surround sound with Sonance speakers and state of the art Sony amplifier and projector. The Screen Innovations Black Diamond screen with a cinema quality projector and high-speed camera is remotely controlled using a Control4 system loaded IPad. All the lights are wirelessly controlled, and the shades and blinds are motorized and programed to open and close at a designated time or can be commanded to open via Alexa. Merchandised with beige leather recliners and blue patterned carpet, this space uses shades of blue to create an ideal place for family movie nights, entertaining or rounds of indoor golf on rainy afternoons.

Ogni amante dei film che si rispetti non si accontenta di guardare una pellicola in TV in un normale salotto. Per godersi al meglio un classico del cinema o il più recente film d’azione bisogna andare un passo avanti e allestire un cinema a casa, il cosiddetto home theatre. Grazie a comode poltrone da cinema, un impianto audio e video di alta qualità e il giusto allestimento, potrai creare un’atmosfera da cinema a casa tua. Qui di seguito trovi alcuni consigli su come scegliere il locale giusto, posizionare correttamente l’impianto e arredare e insonorizzare l’home theatre dei tuoi sogni.

Come scegliere il locale giusto per l’home theatre

La scelta del locale dove allestire il tuo home theater o cinema a casa è fondamentale: infatti, per creare un’esperienza coinvolgente, lo spazio dovrebbe non solo essere ampio ma anche disporre di una pianta dalla forma non troppo regolare onde evitare un’eccessiva risonanza. Inoltre, non sono adatti locali quali le mansarde e i soppalchi: a causa della loro forma, il suono viene ostacolato rispettivamente disperso nell’ambiente sottostante. Se il locale che hai a disposizione è munito di finestre, è importante che queste siano facilmente oscurabili.

Come selezionare e posizionare l’impianto home theatre

I due fattori che determinano quale tipo di impianto audio e video acquistare sono la dimensione del locale e il budget a disposizione. In linea di massima, più è grande il locale per più potente dovrebbe essere l’impianto e questo include varie componenti. La prima è l’amplificatore, il quale costituisce il cuore dell’impianto e pertanto è necessario che sia di buona qualità. La seconda componente è lo schermo. Optando per un videoproiettore e l’apposito schermo si ottengono sì effetti più drammatici, tuttavia se l’attrezzatura non è di elevata qualità, l’immagine può risultare poco nitida. In questi casi, si consiglia l’acquisto di una TV LCD o plasma ad alta definizione: essa offre una qualità di visione eccellente a prezzi più accessibili. In ogni caso, assicurati che la dimensione dello schermo sia proporzionale alla distanza dello spettatore. Un ulteriore elemento importante per il cinema a casa è il sistema audio che comprende gli altoparlanti o diffusori. Il diffusore centrale è responsabile per la riproduzione di dialoghi e quelli frontali per la riproduzione di ambiente e musica. Per un effetto sonoro a 360 gradi, le casse surround sono un must; queste vanno posizionate dietro al punto d’ascolto. Per la riproduzione di suoni a bassa frequenza - come le esplosioni - è necessario installare un subwoofer che può essere posizionato praticamente ovunque (ma non negli angoli!). L’ultima componente necessaria è un lettore DVD o Blu-ray.

Come arredare e insonorizzare una stanza adibita a home cinema

Al fine di creare un’atmosfera da cinema a tutti gli effetti, non possono mancare delle comode poltrone imbottite - preferibilmente reclinabili -, un minibar per conservare bevande e snack e magari una macchina per popcorn. Decora inoltre le pareti con delle locandine di film famosi o delle tue pellicole preferite. Un aspetto importantissimo da non dimenticare è l’insonorizzazione. Budget permettendo la soluzione migliore è rivestire le pareti con dei pannelli fonoassorbenti. Tuttavia, è possibile migliorare l’acustica e diminuire le emissioni di rumore, fornendo la stanza di ripiani (dove sistemare l’attrezzatura e i DVD) e di librerie lungo le pareti, tende o arazzi e tappeti.
