Pleaching is a technique of trimming and shaping a tree into a hedge sitting atop a trunk. Its a great technique that allows for privacy screening to be grown in a tight space while offering the benefit of having room beneath to plant an additional species of plant allowing for a broader diversity of species within the garden.
