WineHiveThis luxurious walk-in wine cellar on California's central coast is fully climate-controlled, and features a floor-to-ceiling WineHive Pro racking system. Safely holding standard 750mL wine bottles and magnum 1.5L bottles in the left column, this WineHive installation is a custom 10" depth and was left not anodized, as the owner wanted a "raw industrial" feel. It perfectly fills the wood enclosure and seamlessly contours around the AC unit. Notice the honeycomb floor tiles!
Design Directives, LLCThis lovely home began as a complete remodel to a 1960 era ranch home. Warm, sunny colors and traditional details fill every space. The colorful gazebo overlooks the boccii court and a golf course. Shaded by stately palms, the dining patio is surrounded by a wrought iron railing. Hand plastered walls are etched and styled to reflect historical architectural details. The wine room is located in the basement where a cistern had been.
Project designed by Susie Hersker’s Scottsdale interior design firm Design Directives. Design Directives is active in Phoenix, Paradise Valley, Cave Creek, Carefree, Sedona, and beyond.

Vintage CellarsWelcome to the Wine Vault! This custom wine cellar in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California is one of a kind. Seriously - Everything about this space from the custom wine racking to the stone work to the sleek stainless steel framed doors.. a one of a kind custom wine cellar designed, built, and installed by custom wine cellar experts Vintage Cellars.
This large custom wine room sits in the entertainment room downstairs in this gorgeous Beverly Hills mansion. Walls, ceiling, and floors of stone accentuate the dark custom wine racking used to cradle each wine bottle. Metal Wine Racking is commonplace and a very popular feature in many custom wine cellars / wine rooms / wine walls / wine vaults nowadays - but this was even a first for us too. The client worked closely with designers at Vintage Cellars to come up with a very unique look and desired effect for the bottles, utilizing custom railroad pegs in the style of Carriage Bolts to display each wine bottle neck out.
This 500 bottle cellar masterpiece quickly became the showpiece of the entire downstairs of the home. Through careful consideration and planning, the design and install team was able to recess the cooling unit into the wall and duct in the cool air to keep this space at at constant 55 degrees with a perfect relative humidity.

What was once solely a location to place and store your wines long term has now become literal art. Take it all in - the worn, yet refined wooden floors, the custom cabinetry and home bar / custom bar, the exposed wooden beams looking like they were out of a 20th century barn, the grey walls - inviting yet subdued.. Against the shabby chic, traditional, yet modern style of this home, this custom wine cellar absolutely shines.
