Darci Hether New YorkThis contemporary pied-à-terre is all about compact elegance. The bedroom features dark wood floors and gray walls complemented with a single-wall dark wood floor enclosed kitchen. The small kitchen is highly functional and equipped with an undermount sink, recessed-panel cabinets, dark wood cabinets, marble countertops, a gray backsplash, and paneled appliances. The bathroom adds a light touch with marble flooring and countertops, and white walls.

Fran Kerzner- DESIGN SYNTHESISThe wood is a flat-cut walnut, run horizontally. The bar was redesigned in the same wood with onyx countertops. The open shelves are embedded with LED lighting.
We also designed a custom walnut display unit for the clients books and collectibles as well as four cocktail table /ottomans that can easily be rearranged to allow for the recliners.
New dark wood floors were installed and a custom wool and silk area rug was designed that ties all the pieces together.
We designed a new coffered ceiling with lighting in each bay. And built out the fireplace with dimensional tile to the ceiling.
The color scheme was kept intentionally monochromatic to show off the different textures with the only color being touches of blue in the pillows and accessories to pick up the art glass.

Rudloff Custom BuildersRight off the kitchen is a butler’s pantry. The dark blue raised panel cabinets with satin gold pulls and the white quartz counter correspond with the kitchen. We used mirrors for the backsplash and on the upper cabinets. And, of course, no beverage center is complete with a wine refrigerator!
Sleek and contemporary, this beautiful home is located in Villanova, PA. Blue, white and gold are the palette of this transitional design. With custom touches and an emphasis on flow and an open floor plan, the renovation included the kitchen, family room, butler’s pantry, mudroom, two powder rooms and floors.
