Courtyard Garden Kensington
Our Clients purchased this wonderful property in Kensington, London that was in need of complete refurbishment. Bartholomew Landscaping were approached directly as we had built a garden previously for some of their very close friends.
Working very closely with the Client, we devised a very natural, albeit stylish scheme using untreated materials that represented a woodland effect, including a feature Iroko hardwood deck with seamless fixings, a core ten steel fireplace for burning natural logs, beautiful sand stone steps with bullnose detail, raised bespoke timber planters with integrated staggered seating for sitting amongst the trees.
The garden was surrounded with a bespoke natural hardwood trellis to offer privacy and create an intimate haven, planted with evergreen flowering climbing plants.
The planting consisted of a selection of multi stemmed trees, including Birch, flowering Prunus and early flowering Amelanchier all under planted with a selection of hardy flowering herbaceous plants and seasonal bulbs that will provide interest throughout the seasons.
Bronze light fittings were installed to illuminate the steps and up light the trees along with a computer controlled irrigation system.
Needless to say the clients response was one of delight in that we had interpreted exactly what they had envisaged.
