Bespoke fitted furniture for a study bedroom in Wimbledon
Acorn Bespoke Carpentry and Joinery were commissioned to create and install a suite of bespoke fitted furniture for a teenage boy’s study bedroom in Wimbledon, London. The built-in furniture includes two bespoke full-height, double wardrobes and streamlined, wall to wall cabinets incorporating an integrated desk. All designed to fit perfectly with the interior architecture.
The made to measure fitted furniture is contoured to fit around the room and is streamlined to maximise the available floor space. Two double wardrobes provide plenty of well-organised storage space for clothing, trainers, bags and sports kit. Plenty of sockets and charging points were essential for this room and have been cleverly housed throughout the worktop areas.
These customised wardrobes and extensive storage units will reduce clutter, help the teenager to stay organised and provide plenty of work tops and surface areas for studying, hobbies, gaming and more.
Modern shaker style in smart blue
This bespoke blue bedroom furniture has a smart look and gives the room a calming appeal. The design of the wardrobe doors and drawer fronts are in a modern shaker style. Shaker doors are simple and classic and won’t date. The exterior of the fitted wardrobes and fitted cabinets and drawers have all been handpainted in Paint and Paper Library’s ‘Blue Blood’, a deep antique blue. This high-quality water-based paint was selected in an eggshell finish, which has a low sheen and a smooth, washable surface. The interiors of all the fitted cabinetry including the drawer interiors are made in a natural warm oiled oak. Natural oak is incredibly hardwearing and easy to maintain, which makes it ideal for cabinet and drawer interiors which get a lot of use.
