Window redesign...

We really need new windows before next winter and would like to change the look of the top three windows, specifically. We have updated the interior with craftsman style 3-panel doors and trim and would like to carry that to the exterior as well.

I was thinking we should lower and lengthen the windows and then add a thicker trim around them, but I'm really not sure. I want it to be updated and my style, but not stand out too much in our neighborhood, which is pretty plan and the reason we painted the house gray to begin with

Does anyone have any ideas of what we could do to change the look, but not break the bank?

Perhaps an ideabook with pix of the Craftsman exteriors you like most would give us a direction. I do like the idea of larger windows and trim.
