    There is a wide choice since you have black granite. If I may, do not select a color other than neutral, as color trends come and go. Put your color in fabric and art, along with pendants and paint color. Easy to change later down the road.

      I loved the idea of honed black granite---until I heard how hard it is to keep up---how it shows every fingerprint. Have you heard the same thing? Do you have it installed yet?

      Just wondering. It is a visual wonderful statement, but I can't stand the look of smudges myself. I wonder if I was scared off unnecessarily.

      A honed finish creates a matte or low gloss sheen to granite. It offers the same durability as polished granite but should be resealed more often. Honed finishes are more absorbent than polished and require more effort to clean since. They tend to be more susceptible to fingerprints or watermarks. Honed granite is a great choice for a more aged or casual look for your countertops.
