Bi level home-wall on left side same as this wall- also white with box moulding -what type rail to use?

Oak floors -contractor suggesting black wrought iron spindles with white posts and railing. Would a stain look better than the white paint? Need your expertise. Thank you

    white paint is more classic and will not become "worn" over time. I would suggest using a neutral pallet color unless your project is following the same color theme throughout the house (i.e. you already have stain present elsewhere).
