My husband and I met with Sonya after she was highly recommended from a friend. We were beginning discussions for the renovation of our 1800 sq/ft beach front home in Newport Beach. Neither my husband or I had previously renovated a home and were looking for a very hands on designer to help guide us through the process. We met with Sonya at our house and could immediately tell she was the perfect fit for our project. She not only listened to us as we described our style and vision for our home, but provided feedback and ideas in many different areas that really got us excited to begin. Sonya and I shared concept photos of bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, and other areas of the house. Unknowingly, many of the photos she sent to me were ones that I had saved on Pinterest boards which made me feel like she really understood what we were looking for. I could type forever thanking Sonya for designing the beautiful house we now live in, but what stands out even more than her expertise in design is the kind of person she is. As previously mentioned, we had not previously renovated a home and were very unaware of all the details and work it took to design a home. She was very patient with us through the decision making process and guided us from the beginning to end. Sonya was always extremely prompt with emails and phone calls with us, as well as following up with vendors. She not only designed our home, but worked with our contractor in managing the entire project while we lived across the country for part of the renovation. On a personal note, I was pregnant with twins throughout the whole renovation and Sonya regularly called, texted, and emailed checking in to see how I was feeling and arranged our meetings around this. My husband and I could not be more pleased with her services and now consider her a friend to our family. We recommend over and over again Sonya with Fortune Design.

I was contemplating a remodel for our darling Newport Heights Cottage. I wanted to utilize the small space that we had to create a larger presence. She was meticulous at measuring and creating plans of our existing footprint and then offered me several options for me to choose from. She is very detailed in all that she does from the interview process right down to the billing. I was presented a detailed schedule for each phase of the project. She met all of my expectations and I appreciate that she was on time and valued my time as well. I look forward to woking with her in the future.

Wonderful service, from start to end. Sonya Zamora has a great passion for what she does and this shines through in her consultations. She helped me change my own ideas of what I wanted which resulted in a stunning room with much more depth, personality and color, yet staying with my neutral colors. To accentuate the rooms she chose bold and exciting furniture and fabrics to add texture and dimension. She truly is an artist. I would not have picked a lot of the things personally but her gentle persuasion paid off and I have the most stunning rooms. I highly recommend her.

My client and myself hired this firm for a complete remodel, approximately 3600 sq feet. Sonyas design and finish selections were wonderful. I worked as the project manager on this job and enjoyed working with this very professional and knowledgable designer.
