Mike Squier and Brandy Haislet are the team that keep Gable running. They are the most professional and competent construction experts we've ever dealt with. (This was our third whole house renovation.) They managed the budget with great conscientiousness and completed the project in a very timely manner. They were also a joy to deal with - highly knowledgeable and all-around great people. We could not be more pleased, and highly recommend Gable!

Very good communication about progress and plenty of lead time on project requirements and items to supply like tile choices and hardware, paint colors and light fixtures. On sight meetings when needed with follow up notes. Good communication between architect and builder

Gable Builders undertook a massive renovation, including pouring a foundation for our 150 year old home. The house was basically rebuilt. While this type of project can be tricky the issues we are left with pertain to complete lack of supervision of subcontractors and no oversight by the GC when moving from one phase to the next. We were left with a house with unlevel floors even though all floor decking is brand new, polyurethane bubbling between floorboards, cracks and scratches on new floors, cracking, uneven tile with grout that washes away in all bathrooms, non-square corners in many rooms, damage by subs to brand new kitchen cabinets, the list goes on. There were repeated attempts by the sub’s who did the work to correct issues but most times it made things worse. Mike Squier has called us “unreasonable”, avoiding responding to us for months at a time and has taken no initiative to make things right for us. We worked very well with everyone at Gable until things started to go wrong. There were many excuses made for issues and an attempt to just move on. We have spent a year trying to correct all of the issues in the house without any resolution with the company. This is very unlike Gable Builders, over the years they built beautiful, quality homes many for our friends. Unfortunately that is not our experience and we would not recommend Gable Builders.

Back in 2002 we used Gable to build us a beautiful waterfront vacation home in Chatham. Since then we’ve continued to use them for several remodelings. These guys (and gals) are very good and I’m sure we will be using them again. (They are not inexpensive, however, which is the only reason we did not give them five stars.) -Preston and Candice

Gable Builders created our house for us and it was a true pleasure to work with them on it. We planned our dream house and now we love living in it full-time. Gable worked closely with us to plan every detail. They were extremely attentive to our wishes and advised us in a very helpful way to achieve our vision. It was exciting to work with them, They did whatever it took to satisfy our requests. Their workers are amazing professionals, friendly and responsive. The house is truly top-end in every way. Perhaps best of all, the Gable team remains responsive to our house-related questions and concerns a couple years after the project was completed.

I have worked with Gable Building Corp on two projects. One was a major remodel and addition to a Windmill cottage in Hyannis Port and the other was a garage remodel and various maintenance items. I find the company easy to work with and very forthcoming with estimates and other information pertaining to the projects. I also appreciated that they would find a cost effective approach to the situation. I would use this company again.

The company is my favorite. All who work there are very professional and willing to listen to my wants and concerns. They have been able to work and meet our projects on time and in budget. Great company. I have used them to build two houses.

Jim Gable built our custom dream house. From the initial consultation to final delivery of house; Jim and his team were very professional and responsive to customer needs. They do not cut corners and finish the project in a timely manner. The house was built on a hill and landscaping team did an excellent job with putting the retaining wall and landscaping the yard. Kudos to Jim Gable and Mike Squier. If you are building or renovating in cape cod; you will not go wrong hiring the best.

I recently completed a major renovation of my Cape Cod residence with Gable Building. The original home was ramshackle, rambling and not oriented toward an otherwise attractive water view. The Gable people worked with my architect and me to optimize a dozen design iterations into a coherent plan. The result is a stunning hexagonal central space, with a 22 foot ceiling and glass that fames the water view. The new central structure ties into the existing property so well that it appears to have been built this way originally. A Gable principal was on-site daily, allowing us to implement the best creative ideas as the project proceeded. The overall result was a modest priced existing house was converted into a remarkable home.

As a wood flooring contractor, our livelihood depends on reputation. Ironically, that's why we do not work with a lot of builders and re-modelers. We are very fortunate to be able to work with only a small very select group that truly stands above the rest with respect to construction knowledge, craftsman-skills, project management and overall good organization. It is a pleasure to work with Gable Building Corp. And as a trade professional, where a "bad" personal referral can be very costly to our own reputation, we are glad to, and we highly recommend Gable Building to all.

Gable Building remodeled 2 of our bathrooms and a laundry room along with some related work. The Gable team did a great job and were a total pleasure to work with.

This project was not an easy one. Gable was super throughout the process. The end result was excellent, and would highly recommend them to anyone seeking to undertake any type of renovation or building project.
