I appointed EMR Architecture to renovate my Grade II listed Victorian home in Notting Hill. From the first meeting to the delivery, the team was super helpful. They managed to get all the planning permissions and that was a very complicated process with a Grade II and then Emilie helped me through all the renovation process to make it as stress free as possible. Emilie and her team listed to all my ideas (as I have strong views on Interiors and strong needs in storage) and managed to deliver a house that truly feels like home. It is practical, with great material choices they advised on, and full of fun and clever storages. Despite the sqm2 addition the house feels bigger and brighter. They have been managing the builder’s team brilliantly through the works and sourced a multiple numbers of skilled suppliers to make my dream come true! I could not recommend them more and would definitely use them for my next projects!

Emilie is a rare talent. Not only does she have fantastic design skills, but she understands how to translate this into practical living without breaking the bank. We appointed EMR to renovate our terraced house in London, having struggled to find a design that worked with a previous architect. The footprint of the house is small, making it a challenge to fit everything in, but EMR quickly came up with an incredible design that utilised every inch of space whilst still achieving a stunning finish. Oddly enough, it's after the design and planning phase where EMR really come into their own, going above and beyond what we expected from an architect. From the weekly site visits and updates to their incredible rolodex of suppliers, EMR dedicated a huge amount of time to helping us choose the best products and ensuring we got excellent value for money. Emilie and her team worked tirelessly to improve the design and finish, constantly looking to change and improve if they saw a better solution as the build unfolded. EMR more than justify their fees by the additional level of effort that they put into managing the build and helping with the interiors. The build was finished on time and on budget despite a full COVID lockdown along the way. The finished house is everything we hoped it would be and more and we are absolutely delighted with the end result. Knowing what we now know, we would appoint Emilie and her team again in a heartbeat.

Apppointing EMR Architecture was the best decision we made when we started to renovate our Victorian home. From our initial meeting onwards, the team was fully committed to the project and constantly coming up with great ideas, from creative design elements to practical advice on energy efficiency or layout. Emilie and her team went to great lengths to understand our needs and tastes and to tweak design ideas to suit us. Once we started on the build, their approach to project management was simply amazing: always responsive, frequently on site, on the lookout for any issues that came up or opportunities to make improvements. We couldn't have asked for more and this approach was absolutely critical to the success of the project. It made all the difference during uncertain times (pandemic, with lots of supply challenges). We felt we were in good hands as Emilie guided us expertly through the timelines of when to choose specific fittings to ensure the project ran smoothly. Emilie introduced us to lots of fantastic suppliers. She dedicated lots of time to helping us make choices that work aesthetically and practically and made sure we got good value for money. Looking back, the project was surprisingly stress free, and this is all down to EMR. We had fun working with a team that is so collaborative and passionate about what they do and we are absolutely thrilled with the outcome. Our home is perfect for now but if we ever do another project, we will definitely work with EMR Architecture again!

Emilie and her team have recently completed a major renovation of our house over a period of 6/7 months, with structural basement work and a full remodelling of the ground floor spaces, which has included architectural glazing and a new kitchen. Our house has been completely transformed and I could not recommend her highly enough for anyone contemplating a similar project. From the very first meeting, it was clear that we would be in the best possible hands, which was of major reassurance. Her supply chains are strong and her general sense of enthusiasm, positivity and proactiveness shone through her project management of the build programme. I would thoroughly recommend EMR and the whole team who work there. We worked with them over Summer/Winter 18/19 on a large renovation of our house, with structural basement work, relaying, new design, glass extension work, and new spaces. The support and direction throughout the project, as well as the project management was faultless. There was great attention to detail, very strong negotiation and management of suppliers, and flexibility to our needs. The design concepts were strong but realistic and the planning application worked principally due to EMR's involvement. Emilie and team have solved for a number of interior design challenges, providing a range of solutions that are stylish, not necessarily always 'high end', but a blend of solutions that all look good. Most of all they are a very fun team to work with, and we enjoyed humour and goodwill throughout, which is vital on a long build.

We literally could not recommend Emilie and her team more. EMR helped us on a 12 month renovation project on our six bed house on Howard’s Lane in Putney. The house was effectively taken back to brick and there was substantial structural work involved. Emilie provides a complete end-to-end service, on both the architectural/interior design side and on project management. We have been very sceptical in the past about the value of project managers on domestic building projects, but Emilie was worth every penny. Her design team bring considerable French flare to the design and their ability to maximise light and space within the house is extraordinary. Furthermore, Emilie also combines her design skills with a real sense of practicality, which is vital for large families like ours. On the construction side, she has built very strong relationships with the builders with which she works – Extend, which worked on our project, were fabulous and combined brilliantly with EMR. The result of the build (as you will see on EMR Architecture website) is extraordinary, and has given us the family home we always dreamed of.

We moved London and bought a property in 2016 that needed a full remodelling. Emilie and EMR came highly recommend. Emilie helped us get planning permission, source builders and other 3rd party workmen complete a full roof extension and a full rebuild of our kitchen, bathrooms living rooms and bedrooms. We also did a basement add on. Unfortunately, Emilie quit mid project after numerous mistakes that caused the project to run long and over cost. I think she had taken on too many projects so lost focus on ours. I would make sure any project done with this company has a hard timeline set and budget set with penalty rebate to the customer if the project takes longer than estimate time. I would also suggest notes at taken every meeting to avoid miss communication.

I absolutely recommend Emilie and her team at EMR Architecture. Emilie designed and project managed our house renovation, which we moved into in June 18. We completely demolished our mid-terrace Victoria house and rebuilt it from scratch, lowering floors, moving ceilings, adding a room, and changing the layout to maximise space and living areas for our family. Emilie helped us design the perfect layout and gave us great suggestions and interior design advice. We're lucky that our tastes matched so we rarely disagreed on anything! She negotiated good prices for fixtures and fittings too. I wouldn't hesitate to hire her and her team for another project in the future.

Emilie knows exactly what needs to be done and how. She has excellent ideas to transform any space into a very functional and nicely designed home. Storage is her main focus and we cannot thank her enough for all the storage space she cleverly designed so that we can hide all our and our two son’s mess! She is very professionnal and you just have to look at her portfolio to understand she does not compromise style for pratical ideas. Also she has a very good network of suppliers for furniture, bathrooms etc. I would recommend EMR architecture to anyone willing to optimise space with a perfect design!

Emily designed and ran a project for us earlier this year. Emily’s approach was wonderful. She was professional, easy to deal with and is clearly very talented. She proactively offered solutions to things we hadn’t thought of and we have ended up with the most fabulous space, which is practical as well as beautiful - and which we love living in. We will definitely use EMR when we next have need for any home design or improvements.

When we first decided to develop our house I spoke to two or three different architects. Our refurbishment project was certainly not an exciting or challenging one but Emilie's willingness and can-do attitude was refreshing. The whole job was completed so quickly and without any fuss from drawing up plans to getting our planning permission granted.
