My latest project was to redo my home office. Angela came through with a spectacular design that met all my needs and at the same time, was aesthetically pleasing. It is a small room (12x11) with 2 large desks that I wanted to keep. She incorporated them and worked with the Cabinet maker to make the necessary modifications. The installation was done quickly and efficiently. Taking into consideration my needs and my budget, she looked for the best solution, not only from the aesthetic perspective but from a technical aspect, because of her extensive knowledge in construction. It was a pleasure to work with Angela. She is passionate about her work, and it shows in her design and the execution, making sure everything is done right.

Working with SCD Design & Construction & Team was fantastic as this company completely transformed my living space into a chic modern home. The team turned my vision into reality and even went beyond with the decor. Despite all the set backs the pandemic brought with many industries, the team at SCD managed to provide everything regarding the necessities for the renovations/design in a timely manner as well as with professionalism.

This was the most horrific and disappointing renovation/design job. The team was extremely unprofessional, the project had constant delays, incorrect materials were used and costly damage was done to the house in areas that were not even being renovated. The team treated us unfairly, and harassed us continuously even when they were at fault and we had been cooperative and given them several chances to fix mistakes. I would never recommend them to anyone! Months later, we are still trying to recover from the damage they caused and will have to pour additional resources beyond our initial budget to fix the issues caused. Please do not waste your time or money on this company.

The SCD Design & Construction Team was fabulous from beginning to end. My project was completed a whole month ahead of schedule! I received regular feedback on what was going on and what was going to happen. The different trades were scheduled in an efficient manner. They worked well with attention to details. They left the house clean every day. And, on top of it all, all polite and pleasant people to deal with. If you want a company that will take charge of your renovation project and doesn't want to have to worry about details and running around to various stores, this is your supplier. I highly recommend!

We had the great opportunity of working with Angela, the president of SCD, for the consultation and cost estimation of our project. From the very first encounter, we were impressed by her professionalism and kindness. She is very attentive to our needs and always provided detailed explanations when we ask her a question. Unfortunately, due to our budget restraints, we couldn’t hire her to complete the project, but nonetheless, we were very appreciative of her patience and all the efforts she made to try to reduce the cost in order to match our budget. It was a great pleasure to work with her!

I hired SCD Design & Construction for a full basement renovation which entailed preparing the roughing, electricity and plumbing for a built-in Finnish sauna (built by a specialized company), building a new laundry room with toilet and shower, and building a lounge area with a TV and fireplace focal wall. This company brings you a top-notch team, from experienced project managers to electricians and plumbers. Providing my inspiration thoughts and needs, I instantly connected with their design ideas and 3D renderings for a fresh, clean and modern look. We openly discussed budget and cheaper and more expensive options, working together to see where we could save and where we needed to have top of the line materials. The crew that worked through the heatwaves in the summer months were utmost professionals - curteous, experienced and thoughtful. They went above expectations on preparation work and were mindful of my daily living during the renovation, for example moving and hooking up my washing machine several times to ensure the least inconvenience to me (I don’t know many companies which would do this!). I had full confidence and trust in the team through the project. SCD is an honest, trustworthy business which I can recommend without a doubt! The result: my household now spends 50% of the time in a zen basement/living area where before it was only used for storage and quick laundering. We gained an entire floor of our house which was previously unused! With confidence, I can attest that SCD’s team is driven, caring and have vision to convert any space to a dream come true!

Having SCD Design work on our project was a wonderful experience. Not only is Angela Wong a licensed contractor, she’s also a designer. This brought a unique and necessary perspective and cohesiveness to the renovation work to be done in our home. Her project managers Lafèche Bérubé and Alan Codebecq are very polite and pleasant young men, ever present and always quick to find solutions to problematic situations. She has also surrounded herself with a team of exceptional expertise in their field (ie: our awkward stairs.) Yes, there were a few unexpected setbacks and messes from a trade or two as with any renovation but, of course she was always only just a phone call away ready to discuss our concerns. It was a delight to be able to consult someone with her experience and sometimes, just have a chat. Angela also encouraged our involvement, and the finished result is a stunning new 1st level makeover. Thanks to all involved in this renovation. I’m giving a 4 (4 ½) star rating because in my mind, it’s near impossible to have perfection in anything and this project was outstanding and as close as is gets.

Dream kitchen - √ check √ Awesome design √ check √ Excellent customer service √ check √ Thanks to a brilliant designer, an awesome project manager and her dedicated team, we have an amazingly spacious and fabulously functional kitchen! We are absolutely thrilled with the results! SCD Design and Construction provided the all-inclusive service that we had been searching for. We searched for a designer/contractor for many years and finally found SCD Construction and Design. If you are looking for a designer/contractor, who really knows how to use space, who knows how to maximize storage with a minimalist appearance, we highly recommend Team SCD! I called a friend who is a contractor and asked him if he knew someone. He gave me Angela’s name and number. We talked a bit, she came over and boom, instant connection. She understood what I was trying to describe and explained why I could or couldn’t do what I had envisioned. When she came back with my plans, I was so blown away, I cried. Never had I imagined what she presented could in any way be done with in my teeny, aged bathroom. I realized a second bathroom would be needed while the old one underwent its transformation. Angela did not disappoint! We cleaned up the furnace, utility room area, put in a full bathroom and redid the living part of the basement. A basement I no longer went into because I hated how cluttered it was. It is now our favourite space and friends and neighbors cannot believe the change. Angela made me realize how crucial a designer is for even a small renovation. She especially recognized my budget. I once again love my house! I recommend SCD to all my friends who are thinking of improving their living space, no matter the size or the budget. Thank you SCD!
