EVA MUNARIN was born in Alassio (Savona) on the 15th September 1967. She describes herself as a “contemporary artisan”, because after using different painting techniques, such as watercolours and graphic, she becomes more and more interested in ceramics. In 2006 she gets a certificate in pottery at the Montelupo Fiorentino Pottery School. In 2007 she opens her Studio-Showroom in the Medieval village of Mensano, in the hills sorrounding Siena. Here her works are influenced by the traditional Renaissance Ceramics style and are insiperd by the colours and the breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside. All her works are unique, both in the form (made by hand with the potter’s wheel or the slabs) and in the colouring. She uses traditional glaze but also metal oxides and powders. At present Eva is working in Colle di Val d'Elsa in her Atelier, where she has created a showroom and a small school for anyone who wants to learn the art of pottery.
