Whidbey Home Remodel and Repair

My project grew from a small bathroom floor update to a full renovation of half of my home due to an unfortunate flood. Mike and his team were so professional, talented, timely and transparent that they made the process as painless as possible. I could reach out to Mike at any time and he would get right back to me and he knows so many folks in the industry that I felt like I was getting things done much faster than other people in my neighborhood or circle because he knew who to call. All his tradesmen were great to work with and just really nice people. I would definitely recommend Whidbey Home Remodel again and again!

Mike and his guys did a series of repairs and improvements for me recently: some painting, a bit of plumbing, and a lot of electrical work including rerouting some wall circuits, adding a couple more, and installing a new fuse box so I could connect a generator directly. They also knocked out and remodeled part of my kitchen so I could relocate the refrigerator. All the work was done quickly and professionally, and I am more than pleased with the results—particularly being able to hook that generator up when the power goes out! I would happily work with WHRR again, and very likely will in the future. Thanks, everyone for the great job!

I needed to do a complete remodel of a studio apartment attached to our garage. I had some idea of what I wanted but with Mike's expertise the space was transformed far beyond my expectations. The remodel required moving walls, major electrical re-design, plumbing changes, and new floors. Mike and his crew put it all together and worked with me on design and finishes. His subcontractors were professional, clean, and worked hard to get the job done. The final outcome is a cozy, warm, and comfortable space. The craftsmanship is impeccable throughout and I never worried that everything would be done professionally.

We hired Mike via an initial connection through Houzz. I liked his profile and the pictures of his previous work, so I contacted him. He was one of the few contractors who actually lives ON Whidbey Island, and definitely the best I have found yet. We needed to wedge a very small bathroom into a space that couldn't be mis-measured or expanded, and in the middle of the project I had to drop everything and go back down to Seattle for several months because of my child's health emergency. It could easily have been disastrous. Instead, we ended up with a careful, patient, knowledgeable contractor who gave us a truly beautiful bathroom that I still enjoy every time I visit our Whidbey house. It was definitely sadly over deadline, but it could hardly have been otherwise given that I wasn't able to go choose materials and fixings when Mike had originally scheduled the work to be done. It was only a little over budget, which was slightly amazing given everything we went through to get it done. And it was, and still is, *exactly* what I wanted, even though I wasn't there to supervise at all. Mike is committed to good craftsmanship, and his work has turned out precise, excellent, and beautiful.

Mike in a word is awesome. The work is top notch and first class. Certainly over my high expectations. Prompt. Great advice when needed and very well connected. Professional would be an understatement.

We hired Mike to install new windows in both our kitchen and master bath. We also needed electrical, drywall, and pendant lights installed. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. His subcontractors were amazing - talented and always left the area clean. Mike also met with us on time and finished the project as promised. He is fair and a contractor with integrity. I would highly recommend him and anyone that works with him on your project small or large.

Hired Mike for several home improvement projects including building a gardent shed, installing stained glass panels, and building a doggy door entry. Mike's craftsmanship and attention to detail is excellent and he was a professional in every sense of the word in all my dealings with him. Would not hesitate to recomend Mike.

Excellent. Mike listens to what you want. He built a back deck and repaired rot in several places on my house. Mike shows up when he says he will or he calls you and let's you know if there has been a change in plans. He is not the cheapest, but he does the job right and works fast!
