Working with Tony has been an absolute delight. We had a very bad experience in the past renovating the house we live in – and when we started this renovation project for a rental property we were pretty concerned that something similar could happen. It was the absolute opposite experience for us. It could not have gone better, and we felt comfortable and taken care of every step of the way. Not only is he the nicest guy possible - he has delivered absolutely stunning work. He always responded extremely quickly, and has a great eye for design. We found Golden Age by reading the reviews and have to say they did not disappoint. They helped us with two large projects 1) refurbing a whole house in Cheviot Hills and also a large scale barbecue and car port build in our primary house. They handled all matters in a clear and professional way. Immediately responsive with a great team of people. I do not have time to chase people and Golden Age was that perfect partner, coming up with immediate solutions. We are very happy with both project and I have no problem recommending them with the highest rating. If you want an excellent job done these are your people.

We were referred to Golden Age Builders from a satisfied neighbor so we already felt confident and reassured that we had made a good choice. We were told it would be 2-3 months to renovate our kitchen, dining room, laundry room and powder room and it wound up right on target at 10 weeks. They showed up ready to work every day and stuck to their proposed schedule. At the core of Golden Age Builders is a mother-son duo who were absolutely lovely to work with. Tomas is the contractor and Danielle is the decorator/designer. Danielle’s style and attention to detail enabled us to create our dream kitchen. It’s not only beautiful, but incredibly functional. Our project was to remodel 3 bathrooms, paint inside and outside and add siding to the outside, tile in the entry and fireplace. The time quote was 3-4 months and we moved back in after 3 1/2 months. Good customer service and a very fast response when I call or texted. They gave me a lot of guidance picking the light fixtures and bathroom faucets. Golden Age Builders is a great choice for any remodel!

We just worked with Golden Age to convert our 1938 existing garage into a beautiful ADU. Working with them was amazing. We all know finding the right contractor takes time. When my husband and I sat down with Golden Age Builders, I knew they were the company to do the job we were asking for. The company does excellent work and great when it come to working within your schedule. Very organized, on-time, work within your budget and always made us feel like family. From the very early stages, we were impressed with the quality workmanship and attention to detail. Each task was performed by highly trained, experienced tradesmen who took great pride in their work. GAB is blessed to have Tony, project manager extraordinaire, who is the finest gentlemen with whom we have ever had the pleasure of working. Without his astute professional guidance, the project could not have been completed. He is a man with unusual competence in the construction and design fields with a demeanor that exudes trust and the love of his work. We depended on Tony's expertise every step of the way. He had the patience of Job as he went about helping us select tile, lighting fixtures, faucets and even paint colors. We already miss the cordial relationships that developed with our friends at Golden Age Builders. We were sorry to see the project end, but we love our beautiful "new condo."

I am not a social media user or online reviewer, but I felt compelled to create an account so that I could share this review of Golden Age Builders. They just completed work on updating my kitchen and completely renovating my bathrooms, on budget and in 2 days less than the 2 months they projected it would take. Tomas has an impressive and vast knowledge of construction. His workers and sub-contractors are masterful at what they do. His project managers were here daily and were excellent supervisors. Danielle, the designer, is amazing with her brilliant eye, her patience with me as a novice, her devotion and determination to "get it right", and her insistence on perfection from the workers (in tile placement, paint details, or anything else.) The respectful way they treat their workers says a lot about the character of this company. In general, I was so pleased with the company, I added on additional projects. You will not find a better company. Highly, highly recommend!

I was looking to renovate my mother's 3 bedroom apartment. I found these guys on google and choosing them was the best decision I've made. They work hard, efficient and fast!!!! I'm very happy with what they have done and I wish I had before pictures but I will post some finalized photos to this review. I can't thank these guys enough... The building was very strict with the work but Golden Age Builders went above and beyond to abide by all the rules and worked even on the weekends to make their deadline. Golden Age Builders worked around my busy work schedule, I can't tell you how many times these guys would go to home Depot and pick up the little accessories I requested to be added to the apartment because I was unable to do it. From the demolition to installing my appliances ... Tile work is great. Everything was done professionally and efficiently. Thank you guys for all your hard work and making this renovation a dream come true for my mom and my family. I will be working with these guys for any future renovation projects.(kitchen cabinets installed from an outside company) but light fixtures, plumbing, flooring and installation of appliances and backsplash all done by zamin construction. Thank you guys again.

Tomas and his crew did an awesome job renovating our basement floor and staircase. They also painted the entire thing and installed new light fixtures. Tomas is very responsive and polite. He explains things thoroughly and gives options instead of being pushy. I recommend Golden Age Builders without hesitation. Working with them has been a painless experience.

After meeting with several contractors, I chose Tomas with Golden Age Builders for a 500 sq ft addition to my house. His bid was very reasonable, and after meeting with him I felt reassured that he knew my needs and that I could trust him with my project. I definitely made the right decision. We ran into a few snags along the way with permitting, because of some inconsistencies in the plans (not their fault, I already had the plans before I hired them). Tomas took care of working with the city and the engineer to straighten it all out. He was very good at communicating with me, and keeping me up to date on what was going on. One of my biggest concerns in doing the addition was bugs - I really can’t stand them, and was worried about having parts of my house opened up while they were working on the addition. Tomas went above and beyond to satisfy me at all times that everything was sealed up, scheduling work however he could to make me the most comfortable. Even if my bug fears weren’t really warranted, Tomas understood and worked with me at every turn, always with a smile. As for the quality of the work, it is excellent. I am so happy with my new room - it turned out just like I imagined it. And if there were any little things that weren’t exactly how I wanted them, Tomas always took care of them, never stopping until I was satisfied. Tomas and everyone at Golden Age Builders were a pleasure to work with. His workers were all very friendly and helpful, and did a great job. I would definitely use them again.

I would sincerely vote Golden age builders the best remodeling company If I could. They did not just go beyond anything I would have expected. But they always put my concerns first in any changes they were making. A total customer-first approach, I loved that. And of course, I loved their work as well. I had my kitchen remodeled. It was a big kitchen, complete with a large dining set and two gas cookers. So, there was a lot involved. Though it took some time. I did not feel time passing, because every time I came inspected the kitchen, they were always making significant process. Their customer service was excellent and for me, it was the best thing. I screamed at the top of my voice when I saw the finished work. Beautiful doesn't do enough justice.

Best choice ever! Golden age builders is the definition of skill, talent, and hard work. These guys got everything right, the staff, the tools, the service even Tomas himself is a spectacular person who will commit to seeing all your home goals through. I couldn't believe it when my wife and I stepped into the completed kitchen. It was like a Sci-Fi movie with some of the best finishes I've ever seen in a kitchen, it's amazing. The bathrooms too were pretty optimized. They increased the footage and brought more lighting and ventilation into the bathrooms which were pretty inconvenient before. I'm glad we made this decision. I would like to thank Golden Age Builders for transferring my kitchen into a beautiful and exceptionally functional living space. You listened to what I had envisioned and wanting a more open floor plan. You were so detail oriented; The fact that there would be no additional costs once the project started and that Golden Age Builders uses their own staff for all the work, helped me make my decision. The project teams who worked at my home were dedicated and professional. They treated me like they were working for their own family. At the end of each day, the jobsite was neat and organized. Floors were swept. Plastic sheeting was placed to control dust from the renovation. The project teams took time to make sure that I was happy as the items were installed and were able to make a few changes in the design as the project went along. Last summer my fiancé and I decided to look ahead to our about-to-grow family and wanted to do extensive renovations on our 1939 Arlington home. We had a pretty set idea of what we envisioned and some experience with remodeling. The key was to find a company that would / could listen, share and be responsive to our ideas; maintain the renovations in a manner that reflected the history of the house - and at a price we could afford. After too many experiences with shiny drawings and lunches in the showroom, Golden Age Builders was suggested to us and we reached out. What we found was a family owned company that would focus on us as the customer, and were only interested in finding a solution to our dreams. We met with Tomas, the Project Manager and Danielle, the designer. Through our conversations we developed a trust, and confidence in their ability to finish the project. We were very pleased with their proposal price, definitely fit our budget and allowed us to be comfortable with the construction and allowed us to add some things we were only hoping to have. Danielle was very responsive, always available, frequently on site and “hands on” with all aspects. One of the reasons Golden Age Builders can deliver for the proposal price is the excellent group of Contractors they utilize. Rather then have a large staff needing constant support they have vetted a small number of experienced workmen who come into your home anxious to please. They will discuss what they are doing and work to provide what you tell them you envision. This is my first time leaving a review for a building project and it's not because it's my first time Remodeling a home, but because Golden Age Builders showed exceptional promise and delivered on every word. I met with Tom and the team some months ago for a kitchen remodeling job and a visible of bathrooms. I gave them detailed descriptions of what the client wanted and though it was challenging. They quickly drew up estimates and brought up workable solutions, I was amazed. I witnessed firsthand with it meant to be passionate about your craft. It was as if they were remodeling for themselves. Not to mention the high level of skill and commitment displayed. It was an absolute win for me.

Golden Age Builders built an ADU in our backyard. From the time we made a deposit to the time it was ready to move in was about 4 months. The entire Golden Age Builders team, from the project manager ( Tomas ) to the designer ( Danielle ) to the foreman and the workers, are highly skilled, friendly, and communicated with frequency and to my satisfaction. The design phase required many decisions on our part. However, Golden Age Builders can make these decisions for you if you prefer. Golden Age Builders employees respond to email within 24 hours (often in a matter of minutes). During the “production” or construction phase, the foreman posts pictures and comments about the day’s accomplishments. Danielle, the designer who helped us, is excellent at helping to select the features of the ADU. I really appreciated her courtesy and knowledge of the items (sinks, windows, kitchen counters, etc.) from which to choose. When I was researching costs to build an ADU, I found that whether one chose an architect and contractor or a “design build” company, the cost was similar. Golden Age Builders, a Design Build company, was the best choice for us, because they assured that the items we selected would be appropriate for our particular ADU, and they handled all the permits. Golden Age Builders is an honest company, they are knowledgeable about all the city’s codes for ADUs, they tried to keep to within our budget, and they do quality work. I did my research before I chose them, and I’m glad I did. I would recommend them without reservation

Great company, great staff, and great service. I don't think any other contractor could have done a better job because they did more than what was required all to my satisfaction. They were able to remodel my entire home and all the bathrooms, all in record time. They increased my home's footage, improved the structure and repurposed old rooms. It was a massive job but they nailed every part of it. The bathrooms were no challenge either they were un-top of the situation throughout, and always carried me along all through the project phase. My home is fresh, gorgeous and more valuable. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

The house had a depressing old look and feel, but I had learned to ignore it, until I had a severe water leak and needed to be fix.I had to start looking for someone to change the plumbing and also Decided to change one bathroom, and paint all the house including the kitchen. After getting several competitive quotes, I chose Golden Age Builders . Tomas seemed very knowledgeable, listened to my concerns, and the price seemed very reasonable. Tomas was willing to be flexible and catered to my abilities and needs. I was very very nervous, and I was afraid that by myself and with no help I would not be able to prepare the house and do what was needed, including taking decisions if something went wrong. Start day came quickly, I received instructions on how to prepare the first room, and I was told that the teams would help with emptying my closet and I should not be worried about it (what a relief). For 6 weeks that was the scenario: I would get instructions and I would do the easy preparations while the teams did the heavy lifting. After 6 weeks during which i was able to use the house with some limitations, I now have a completely new house! I have new bathroom, new paint all over pop including doors, cabinets, new handles, and knobs, new backsplash, new electric switches and outlets, new lighting features and a completely new refreshing and happy design look and feel. If I had known that the project would be such a worry free experience I would have done it few years ago. The three main elements that made it a pleasant, stress-free experience were: 1.Design plan that was exactly how I would want it. Danielle, our designer knew how to suggest ideas according to my taste and budget. 2.The work at the house was managed completely by Golden Age Builders so I didn’t have to worry about any issues while the work was performed. In many cases Golden Age Builders suggested things that I didn't know could be done, and upgraded the house dramatically. 3.The team were amazing--they cleaned each room as soon as they were finished with it, which allowed me to move in and use the room after they had moved to the next. When all was finished, Tomas sent a special cleaning service that cleaned the house inside and out, including windows, leaving the entire house shiny and smelling great! I can’t tell you how happy we are with the results—each day we open our eyes to a completely new house. The results are amazing, and the pictures speak for themselves. I highly recommend Golden Age Builders, and if you are worried about the experience, please don’t, it is exciting and fun! Thank you, you have changed our lives!

No matter where you are on cost, quality and time. Golden Age Builders can deliver. trust me they didn't turn me down when I give them a freaking impossible deadline for one of my clients. Golden Age Builders is everything I need in a contractor, they are competent and professional, highly skilled and dedicated to giving you the best experience. Not to talk about their sound customer service. They were able to remodel my bathrooms despite the numerous structural constraints we faced in the beginning. At first, it seemed like it would go on forever, but I am still surprised by how they handled everything. Tom made sure all the permits were processed in record time and followed all building codes even before I could say jack. It was that kind of planning that amazed me most times. I am just happy at how everything together perfectly.

My experience with my former contractor was great but sadly they went out of business over some legal issue. I had them remodel my entire kitchen. A bold move for me. I sure did. It started as a desire to give my kitchen a makeover. It did give us really good memories but it was losing that touch. It was all old and washed up and all my efforts to put things together were just off. I finally dared to let go and brought in Golden Age Builders to discuss how best we could preserve the best parts of the kitchen and still give it that much-needed makeover. This contractor is deserving of every praise, accolade, and repute that it receives. Having experienced their expertise first hand I can say they are the best contractor I have worked with. And trust me I have worked with some shitty contractors in the past. I will not be mentioning names, but from my experience, this is the best you can get in terms of quality and service. And even cost. Their contractors are very experienced and know how to peruse the market for cost-effective high-quality materials. They did for me too.

Writing reviews is not my thing, but I had to show up here and give Golden Age a well-deserved 5 stars, for the phenomenal accomplishment which is my kitchen. In the past, I've done some DIY upgrades to improve the state of the kitchen and fine-tune it a bit but it didn't just cut it. I gave this a shot a few times. But I knew what I needed was some structural changes. Fast track to 2 months ago when I finally took the shot, had an insightful first consultation with my contractor and kicked the project off. Looking at my kitchen now is like a dream come true. They met every demand and need. Even desires too. I highly recommend this contractor for the spark that you need.

Before we settled for a contractor and remodeling agency, we got several free quote estimates from a bunch of companies. The competence level, experience, and commitment of Golden Age Builders were clear when we compared their quotes and reviews with others. We had no choice but to go for the best and we are glad we did. It was an excellent experience having Golden Age on this project. I will hire them again.

In my family the kitchen is the most important area of the home. Some of the most memorable moments are shared there. Unfortunately my kitchen wasn't always as beautiful looking as it is today. It was a kitchen nightmare. I had very little storage space for my pots, pans, and dishes. My kitchen appliances were horribly outdated and the kitchen was so messy looking. It was such an embarrassment when I had friends over. Finally I realized that it was time for a change and the only regret I have is not getting the kitchen remodeled earlier. The remodel included new drawers and cabinets for my pots and pans, a new marble countertop that goes perfectly with the wooden floors in the space, and brand new appliances. I am incredibly happy with the work of Golden Age Builders workers. I definitely recommend this company !!!

After receiving several advice from family and friends to remodel our home before we consider moving out or selling it. We decided to give it a shot. We wanted to move out not because of the environment but because of the lack of space and a need for a 3rd bedroom. My wife and I selected Golden Age Builders to do a near complete overhaul of our kitchen and we are exceedingly happy about the work and time frame it was finished in! We started planning with Tomas & he was able to walk us through a detailed process in picking out new countertops, floors and details into how we wanted the kitchen to look. He was able to work with us and ensure we didn't exceed our budget limit and there were no "surprise" costs that you usually hear about other workers. We then worked with Danielle as well to finalize what we wanted and she gave us some good recommendations. One of the best things about this company is they assume responsibility for all of the paper work with the co-op and management company and kept us in the loop. When the work got started they were able to knock down a wall to open up the kitchen, get most of the demo work done in under a couple of days. End to End most of the work was complete in a 3 week period which was outstanding to us! Tomas the main contractor was awesome and explained everything in detail with us and gave us dates by which each could be done. Fantastic lead! They also were very attentive to the little details that we needed to have handled which was fantastic as we can be a stickler for the little things. We love the look of our kitchen now and will be using this company when we redo our bathrooms. Fantastic company that I highly recommend!

When our home was built it was a masterpiece, well that was several years ago, but now it is sorely outdated. My wife and I felt we needed to remodel and renovate some parts of the house. We brought in Golden Age Builders and it they’ve been a game changer. They remodeled the bathrooms kitchen and the living room for an unbeatable price.
