The Fox Group

I was looking forward to supporting this beautiful small business but placed an order 4 months ago which has yet to arrive and have been ignored when emailed for an update several times. Terrible experience.

I've done design work with the Fox Group for many years. Tom Fox is great to work with because he doesn't just want a quick project turn around, but is always focused on the owners needs, the impact on the neighborhood and community, and most important - appreciates quality. I have referred several friends to Fox Group.

I had heard multiple horror stories of home owners awful building experiences. Poor quality, unhappy subcontractors, continual change orders and unknown charges were a few of the reasons my wife and I were hesitant. However, building a house with the Fox Group, namely Tom Fox, was more pleasing than I could have ever hoped. Whenever I tell people about our experience the first thing I always say is, forget the construction: A lot of people can "build" a house but few can build a home. Cute, I know. But seriously! The value the Fox Group brings to the homeowner before one hammer is lifted is unmatched. Tom has a great feel for house "flow." Helping home owners overcome indecision regarding how the kitchen will flow with the great room or what type of doors should be put on the living room or what style of trim will make this room pop is one of his greatest strengths. Honestly, this value, in my opinion, trumps any actual building value because it won't matter how great your house is built if you don't like the "flow." The good news, Tom is an amazing builder. He will bend over backwards to ensure you are happy. Let me give 2 examples. 1. Our kitchen cabinets were installed and were 1/2 an inch shorter in height from the ground than was proposed. After I spoke with the cabinet maker he had me convinced that it would not matter. Later that evening my wife called me to let me know Tom was at our house with the cabinet maker ripping out our cabinets. I hadn't said anything. Tom recognized the issue and fixed it. I was IMPRESSED. 2. The framers framed all of our doors 1 inch smaller than they should have. Really not a big deal. However, each door frame was redone. Imagine all the work that was done to increase the door frames by 1 inch. These things are a BIG deal to homeowners. The Fox Group is amazing at what it does. Choosing Tom and his company to build your house will be the best, most stress-saving decision you will make. I will use Tom again, one million percent.

I had an incredibly positive experience with the Fox Group. We tore down an old home in our neighborhood and built a new home on the lot. Tom is very well rounded. I really appreciated his innate eye for design, but he is also very focused on timing, budget and he is enjoyable to work with. Our project was finished in under a year. Tom is very particular that each subcontractors work is done very well. His standard was often even higher than mine. At one point during our project, there was a small miscommunication on the height of our kitchen countertops. I was amazed at Tom's tenacity in requiring the countertops were fixed to the original plan. As a client, you always feel as though Tom has your best interest in mind and he will really work to make sure you are completely satisfied with the work being done. It was so valuable to be able to ask Tom's opinion on visual exterior and interior details. That in addition to his construction and building knowledge in my opinion is a rare find. We have been in our home about a year and a half and I am completely happy that we had the Fox Group build our home. I would recommend him to anyone.

We purchased a mid century rambler that had been untouched and needed extensive remodeling. Tom Fox had great vision for the project. He is a unique general contractor in that he also has architectural design experience which made it possible for us to plan the remodel without using an outside architect. He worked with our ideas and came up with a great workable floor plan, completed with beautiful millwork and expert tile design. We were really happy with all of his sub-contractors; they were respectful, talented and easy to work with. We have since recommended The Fox Group to several friends who are planning remodeling projects, and we would use The Fox Group again!

I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with The Fox Group and give The Fox Group my highest recommendation to anyone considering using them as a builder. I first used The Fox Group for a remodel and enjoyed working with Tom so much we hired him again a couple of years later when we built our next house. One of the best things about working with Tom is he has such great taste and an amazing eye for design and style. He had many, many great ideas for our house, from big things such as the look of the exterior and laying out our floor plan to details such as the wainscoting and door handles, along with everything in between. His attention to detail is second to none and his ability to work within a budget was very comforting to us. We know we received more bang for our buck (by a long ways) than we could have with any other builder. Tom really understands how to maximize a budget and produce a beautiful home for a reasonable price. Thanks to Tom, we had a significant amount of equity in our home the day we moved in! He was also very professional throughout the building process and extremely responsive whenever we tried to reach him. Tom truly values his name and brand so you know with Tom he won't cut corners at any point during the process. Tom always made us feel like our satisfaction with our home was his number one priority and he wouldn't rest until we were happy with the finished product. Another aspect of working with Tom that I really appreciated was how hard he pushed to finish our home on time. We had a hard deadline with our construction loan and despite some weather delays and other issues during the process, he pushed his subs and was able to complete our home on time. Lastly, we really enjoyed the subcontractors Tom uses. All of them were extremely professional and genuinely good people. They were great to work with and we enjoyed getting to know each of them during the building process. Again, The Fox Group is a first rate, top notch homebuilder and I give Tom my strongest and most sincere endorsement as both a builder and person.
