THE DEN INTERIORS launched in 2014 to offer interior design, decorating, styling and sourcing services to the South East and Bayside areas in Melbourne. After completing a Diploma in Commercial Arts (Interior Design and Decoration) I quickly realised there were a lot of time-poor people who had decorating projects, such as living room and bedroom decorating, as well as those who needed help with a complete renovation. I offer a personalised and bespoke service; whether you're looking for a complete renovation or guidance choosing furniture, lighting, fixtures and fittings, I'm here to help. I love the creativity at the concept stage where anything is possible and the options are endless. The variety of projects and working with a range of different clients means that no day is ever the same. Stunning Interior Design is achievable and accessible. I am committed to delivering a vision that exceeds your expectations by assisting your creativity to help you finesse that into a space that makes a positive difference to your day-to-day environment. We used Julianne's services on our full house renovation during 2020. She was was responsible for the entire look and feel of the house. Once we handed over the brief, she clearly got us and the environment we were trying to create. She presented us targeted options and made the entire renovation process as stress free as possible. She always went over and above in making sure everything was on site on time including managing furniture deliveries from Queensland when the country was in lockdown, driving 20km for 1 light bulb or designing our kitchen from scratch. We were so lucky to have someone like Julianne in our tent for such a large piece of work. We ended up with a timeless beautiful family space .

If you are reading this review and wondering if you should go ahead with Julianne and The Den Interiors then I can whole heartedly say “YES YOU SHOULD”. From the start of the journey Julianne really listened and paid attention to everything that I wanted to achieve from my whole apartment renovation. She made a relative new comer to renovation and interior design so at ease and the best part of it is she always included my family into the discussions and decisions. During the renovation we had the lovely challenge of a global pandemic and the multitude of restrictions that COVID 19 brought but that didn’t stop Julianne from working her magic and always being available to discuss key decisions (she even arranged a video walkthrough when I got stuck interstate due to border closures). The end result that she has helped to create is nothing short of amazing and definitely has me staring at my apartment in awe on a daily basis. I can’t recommend her and her team enough and if I ever have a chance to renovate again I know the first person I will be calling.

From start to finish Julianne made every stage of interior design so easy. She explained the process so clearly and listened to what I do and don’t enjoy about choosing interiors! I felt I had a trusted partner throughout and Julianne alleviated so much stress because I don’t enjoy choosing finishes. Now I look around the finished house and am so grateful to have had the Den Interiors throughout the build.

As soon as I met Julianne from The Den Interiors I knew we had found the right person to help us. There are no words that would do justice to how grateful I am for the work that Julianne and her team of trades have done for us. What started as some assistance buying furniture quickly turned into renovations across multiple properties as well as design consulting at my office. No job is too big or too small for Julianne and it always felt like budgets were accommodated without judgment (she will find a solution and always offer advice on where to save money versus spend...). The results are GORGEOUS and nothing that we could ever achieve on our own, but make me feel like I'm living in a magazine every day. On top of the professionalism of and expertise for the task at hand, she is also just a genuinely nice & understanding person who is lovely to be around! I will forever recommend The Den Interiors and find new ways to use them.

The Den Interiors managed our entire renovation project, including all the necessary detail to make sure everything ran smoothly. Their knowledge, style and creativity is superb and Julianne listens carefully to her clients brief to make sure she gets it right. We both work full-time and don't have a great eye for interior design so we could not have done what we did without The Den Interiors. We would definitely recommend their services.

I never thought I could work with an interior designer because I have strong preferences. But Julianne is blessed with the rare quality of being truly client-centric and wanted above all, for us to create a home we love. She is easy to work with and has excellent taste, but in this case, was happy for me to take the lead (though I relied on her to tell me when my idea lacked aesthetic merit). I think one of the most valuable parts of the experience was that Julianne was ready to share her trade sources and discounts, allowing us to achieve our vision faster, and our budget, go farther. We would recommend The Den Interiors without reservation!

I bought a Shopping Day with Julianne to update some furniture, and get the right look with accessories. I normally don't have the time or inclination, but I was sick of it not being done, and it was a much easier way to get my house looking great and make the right choices. Based on my list, and photos of my house, Julianne made suggestions and planned a shopping day to get around to the right places. She also got me discounts, as well as helped with the overall look, so I got great value. I would definitely recommend this if you’re not needing a full Interior Design service. It was fun!"

It has been an enjoyable and rewarding experience working with Julianne from the Den Interiors. She did an outstanding job renovating and styling my 3 bedrooms apartment in Melbourne CBD. Julianne listens to my objective and work within my budgets as planned. Also trades discounts were passed on. She is highly professional and knowledgeable and very pleasant to interact with. Julianne and I have collaborated on a few projects in the last couple of years, the most recent a project in Sandringham. Julianne is wonderful to work with and has a beautiful aesthetic. Her designs are clever, thoughtful and warm and provide a delightful backdrop for her clients. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Den Interiors for any residential projects.
