Kendra is the master of yard design! We’d admired her work done in our neighborhood for several years and finally decided to give her a call. That turned out to be the BEST call we ever made. Not only did we hire her to do our front yard (gorgeous)but a few years later called upon her again to totally revamp our backyard! She has a knack in plant selection and is open to your ideas/suggestions in designing your dream yard. She’s AWESOME and I can’t thank her for creating my backyard sanctuary! Les

Although my husband and I have similar tastes, we wanted different things added into our backyard and front yard design. Kendra was amazing in how she was able to incorporate both of what we wanted into the ultimate outcome! She has a natural gift for design, color, layout that can't be taught. We love our current backyard... it has now become our outdoor retreat and entertainment area. She was able to capture what we wanted into paper and help us execute it. The plants she picked are just perfect! She knew what would thrive in different areas of our front and back yard. I would highly recommended her!

Kendra was great. She is very knowledgeable and fun to work with. Our place looks great. We have a Spanish Modern house so mixed Mediterranean, local plants to get a great look. She connected us with a landscaper to implement her design which made for a seamless process from start to finish. I am having her consult on another project already.

Kendra did a wonderful job designing our front yard. She listened carefully and grasped the essence of what we were looking for. The yard has been very low maintenance, and we are constantly complimented on it by our neighbors. I chose Kendra after seeing the yards at three other homes in our neighborhood that she designed — those homeowners all recommended Kendra highly. Her services are not the cheapest you will find, but they are very reasonable for the high quality she provides and well worth the expense. I recommended her to a friend, and Kendra did a small design sketch for her which was exactly what my friend was looking for. She also could not be happier.

I worked with Kendra at Revive Landscape Design. She designed and supervised installation of my backyard remodel. She worked with us and listened to us, designing a beautiful tropical oasis. This project included hardscape, lush plantings, retaining walls, seating areas, a pergola, and a water feature. She is very knowledgeable about plants and especially those that are drought tolerant and work well in here in Southern California. Kendra was attentive to our needs, finished the work on time and was a delight to work with. We also had her design our front yard, which we hope to redo sometime in the near future. Kendra is wonderful to work with! She listens to you to make sure she captures your vision not hers. Kendra will work on the concept until you are happy with it and you really feel like you are her only client because Kendra never pushes you for snap decisions. She did my Mom's yard and after 8 years it still looks beautiful, her yard was in the Mission Hills yard tour which made my Mom very happy! Kendra is very busy as any great designer is but she was well worth the wait! I highly recommend Kendra and her firm for any project large or small. My project is a redo of my front, side and back yard and is still in process due to my schedule. You will be glad you chose Kendra.

Hired Kendra for a landscape makeover, focusing on using less water. She is very knowledgable and artistic. I have worked with other landscaping people and most just have a generic plug in these plants formula. Kendra is more like an "exterior designer". She picks interesting plants and materials and makes sure they are placed in the right places. She is not inexpensive, but you will get a great plan from her.

Kendra designed our small, essentially barren backyard space and small side yards into an oasis of drought tolerant plants surrounding a new concrete patio and stone path. We are transplants from upstate New York so we were not knowledgeable about the plants and trees that would best thrive in this area. She took our ideas and desires and transformed them into a lush, but low water usage area of tranquility. She took me on both a trip to a nursery to pick out plants I liked and to get a sense of the color scheme I gravitated toward, and to a garden pottery/container business to help pick out the containers to be used in the 'kitchen garden' and along the back of the house on the new patio. She also made sure that we were able to recycle the brick from the old patio area into the walkway on one side of the house. She grouped the citrus trees in one area, gave us a small 'kitchen garden' using pots and planters, and made use of plants that were butterfly and hummingbird friendly. She supervised the planting of the trees and shrubs, making sure that they were placed in specific locations according to her design. She conceived of the drip system of irrigation we had installed and also recommended the landscapers who actually did all the work. We were very pleased with the job they did and with their ability to work closely with Kendra to achieve the look we loved. We feel that the fee she charged for her work was appropriate and well worth the money spent. Our HOA has finally allowed front yards to be landscaped without grass to decrease wasteful watering. We are again turning to Kendra and Revive Landscape Design to redesign our front yard to use stone, rocks and succulents as the main components and support the reduction in water usage in our community.

Kendra and her team are awesome! We had a low water, low maintenance design by Kendra a few years ago. We won the low water award the next year for the city of San Diego. Our yard get compliments all day long still, and it's been about 4 years! I would totally recommend Kendra. She knows her business and is delightful to work with. We love her work and will be redesigning another area soon with her assistance.

Revive Landscape Design Review I had let my 1922 beach house re-landscaping go so long that a replacement mailman determined that the site was vacant - and my mail stopped. Taking this action as a (hint) societal rebuke - I visited various local nurseries and ask staff for a list of the recommended landscape professionals - with the further stipulation that it must be someone they would love to work with. Not expectantly, they at first said all on their respective lists were great. But when pushed they directed me to Kendra at Revive Landscape as one of their top prospects. Kendra and her staff were great to work with - allowing for my very particular color palette with constructive redirection and ample sense of humor. The revival consisted with a complete front fence to back fence hardscape and landscape. Given that it's an old beach bungalow, with uneven lines due to it's age - a particular focus was applied to giving lots of horizontal definition. I'm more that happy with Kendra's knowledge, experience, attitude, ability to meet deadlines and budgets and ability to work well together with others - and would have no reservations in recommending their service to others.

We hired Revive Landscape Design to completely re-design our front and backyard areas and are very pleased with how well it turned out. During the design process, we worked with Kendra, who took the time to really understand our family's needs (kids, pets). Kendra was realistic about the costs and really helped us make choices that kept us within budget. She picked out some beautiful plants that require low water, and the yard looks lush and green one year later. In fact, we have had many people walking by our house that have commented on how great it looks. We highly recommend Revive Landscape Design and would hire them again.

Kendra Berger of Revive Landscape Design redesigned our backyard. She is very creative and also methodical and meticulous, explaining her thought process and going over plant materials. We went from old hedges that blocked our view to colorful succulents and grasses that reduced our water usage. If we have another landscape project to do, we would definitely hire Kendra again!
