Would definitely work with Phil again and can't recommend him highly enough - we love his style of architecture but most importantly, he was a joy to work with. Very honest, constructive, open to our ideas and interested in finding solutions that worked for us, while still maintaining his integrity of design. And helped us make style vs budget trade-offs so we spent money on the things that mattered and not on the things that didn't. He also has a stunning attention to detail and degree of care and professionalism that we very much appreciated.

He is open to collaborating and very supportive of our role in projects, which usually works to the advantage of our clients. He is loyal and always advocates for the client's best interests, finding creative solutions to challenges along the way.

Phil Abram Architect was recommended to us by a number of people. He had done architectural work for my sister, as well. He has done work for us on 2 major projects: conversion of a Californian bungalow into a Federation-style 3-level home (1990) in Rose Bay; and a sympathetic renovation of a 1800s heritage-listed sandstone workman's cottage in Woollahra. He has an extraordinary attention to detail; a highly sophisticated knowledge of style and form; and an amazing spacial capacity. He works to the budget (and advises realistically on it); has integrity and honesty; and saved us more money on our projects than we spent on architect's fees. He's not the cheapest architect but is worth every penny! The 1990 project had a limited budget and we were advised at every turn if we were seeking to build beyond it. He certified all the work for us and his eye for detail ameliorated many potential issues with the builder. He has a superb knowledge of timber details for cupboards, fittings and the like and an extremely useful and tasteful understanding of interior design , almost matching his exceptional design capacity for building. His friendliness, honesty and integrity made him ver yeasy to deal with and created a friendship with him that has remained. We had no hesitation in using his services for our next home.

We used Phil Abram to design our home and, to project manage its construction. Phil was great to work with. In addition, to understanding the local government planning requirements he had the networks to seek information needed for the planning and approval process. Phil was knowledgeable, practical and, highly professional. Phil was honest transparent and had our interests in mind.He focused on delivering what we wanted, a family home that was open, conformable for all,easy for entertaining and, that could withstand the test of time.The project completed on time and was exactly as we wanted.The end result was great ,well suited to our family's families needs and lifestyle.

Philip is an architect that considers every detail of design, keeping firmly in mind the clients design brief on a project. I have found Phil's understanding of design, construction and materials lends itself to a much more liveable home that is comfortable and looks good. As a builder, I find Philip's level of experience in the industry means he understand fully the workings of a project and how to solve issues efficiently and effectively. Phil really understood my project and produced a really creative and practical space for my building combining a commercial space and very comfortable residence. He managed and worked through some very trying times with the council. he and his team produced everything on time.
