We did a major fix-up project on a waterfront cape with the goal of keeping the original style of the era. Specifics included a complete remodel of the kitchen, the living room, the downstairs’ bonus room area, and outside decks. The redesign of the living room included moving/redesigning the fireplace to a different wall – which is no small project. Our bonus room was turned around where the waterfront view was ignored, so Pete helped redesign it. We now we have a fill wall of glass sliders that opens to a new deck – with the bathroom and laundry room moved to the other side of the room. This has made all the difference in how we live and use this space. Pete Fellman managed the entire process with incredible professionalism, from helping with the design to following up with appliance makers. I’ve done many house renovation projects over the years and am happy to say that this was by far, the most well run and stress-free one of all – and all while traveling back and forth across the country, as this is a second home for us. Pete’s vast experience enables him to think through all the details and foresee future issues before they arise. This is something we truly valued. He has a list of top notch subcontractors and suppliers that are not only experts, but great folks to work with – and with the same attention to detail that Pete displays. We contracted with Peter Fellman to finish our basement early this year. While we had a good idea of the general plan from the outset, we soon came to realize that this was just the beginning. From the very first walk-through before work began, Pete gave us a great deal to think about and made sure that we gave careful consideration to exactly what we wanted in the final work product. This even included giving consideration to the location of furniture and the intended uses of the space before the first nail was hammered. He took a keen and sincere interest in ensuring that we thought through every aspect of the project and he continued this approach until the last finishing touch was completed. There is absolutely no aspect of the job that was left to chance. The best way to describe Pete’s approach is that he goes beyond what he would probably do if it were his own home. He takes great pains to make certain that, when the project is done, it far exceeds your original expectations. And…we can truly say that the final result is well beyond our initial “vision”. Pete challenges you to think about what may seem to be the smallest details so that the end result all comes together perfectly. If he does not agree he tells you and discusses it so that you can make an informed decision. The subcontractors that Pete brings to the project are of the same high caliber as he is, not only in the quality of their work but also in the character of the individuals. It was a pleasure to work with each of them and to see that they truly care about the work they do while they continually were making sure that everything they were doing was consistent with our expectations. We had the utmost confidence in each and every person that worked on our project and enjoyed having them in our home. Their work was impeccable and Pete coordinated with them each and every step along the way. If you are looking for a contractor to come in and throw up some walls, lay down a floor and slap on some paint, Pete Fellman is definitely not your guy. I don’t think he could take that approach even if you insisted. However, if you are seeking a contractor who will involve you in every aspect of the project, and dare to challenge you along the way, to guarantee that the results are better that you ever imagined, Pete is your guy. The best way to bring this home is that when the work was all done and we had some time to live with the results Pete asked, “Is there anything that you would have done differently?”. We thought about it and the answer was a definitive “No”. What more can you ask for?

We have been working with the Fellman Brothers for many years. They are a true pleasure to work with. They have the knowledge, skills, and forethought to get any job done. Peter Fellman has overseen two complete home renovations for us, one of which included building a large addition. He handled each renovation with the utmost professionalism, care and concern. He approached the jobs as if he were working on his own home. As a result there was no "punch list" of items to be fixed at the end of the project, and minimal follow-up needed. I would unreservedly recommend him. The work he does is extraordinary.

Project was a rehab of a vintage 1940's cape. It was a complete renovation and redesign to take advantage of this special property. Elements included, new attached garage and mudroom, complete opening out of second floor with full glass exposure to salt marsh, a beautiful library, built by Peter's brother Mark, and construction of an indoor Swimex poolroom. All accomplished while keeping some of the Old Cape Cod features. Pete came to us by way of our real estate broker. He was involved and managed from the very beginning; with selection of our architect and continued through permitting to completion. His knowledge and experience as a traditional old school craftsman, and unmatched quality expectations, was evident throughout the selection, of materials and subcontractors. He was here everyday and provided regular updates to us as appropriate. Pete strives to satisfy you, the customer. His experience allows him to interject his concerns, ideas and solutions to design or construction elements. He enjoys the give and take that is required to elevate a project to it's full potential. Very good about sticking to budget and accommodating changes. You do not see that in the just slap it up, get paid, and move on mentality, some have today. Excellent, results oriented performance!!

We have worked with the Fellman Brothers on two projects and are very happy with their work. Both of these were renovations of our existing house in Chatham. The first was adding a shed dormer to the second story front of the house, redoing three bathrooms, an outdoor shower, lifting the ceiling in the master to a vaulted ceiling and more. The challenge here among other things was to make the dormer look like it had always been there. The attention to detail when working with The Fellman Brothers cannot be overstated. Somehow Peter Fellman managed to focus on the total job and the details so well. He communicated effectively on the progress of the job which was very important to us being far away from the house and relying on phone calls, photos and email. He made suggestions along the way that were good and needed. The finished product completely exceeded our expectations. Fellman Brothers is now renovating our kitchen and from what we have seen it will be a fantastic change. We are so pleased with the way they have handled these projects and recommend them highly.

Attention to detail, always there to answer questions and make recommendations, pleasant to work with, and visited the site EVERY DAY!! Pete Fellman did a very complicated roof line while adding a master en-suite to my home on White Pond in Chatham. Beautiful fireplace, built-ins for books and decorative items, a huge walk-in closet/tile bathroom and 12' slider to a deck overlooking the water. Better than the finest hotel room at Chatham Bars Inn !! The project also involved a lower level guest bedroom underneath the master en-suite with 2 large closets and another set of sliders overlooking the pond.

As an Interior Designer who often works on projects involving construction, my effectiveness in completing a project to my clients satisfaction rests as much with the quality of the contractor as anything else. EXTERIOR: Removed siding and installed cedar shingles, enclosed and installed windows to convert screened "porch" to 4-season room, changed columns out front, painting, exterior lighting, assorted repairs. INTERIOR: Removed ceiling in living room and vaulted ceiling, widened doorway between dining and living rooms, finished new 4-season room addition with stone flooring, paneling, heat, glass doors, etc.; installed canned ceiling lights throughout house, removed old floor board heating and replaced with central HVAC, patched and refinished floors after removal so not visible, upgraded electrical system to handle bigger load, completely gutted both bathrooms and rebuilt, removed "popcorn ceilings, replaced door and window hardware, painted entire house both inside and out. Probably more that I can't remember. It was a complete and beautiful transformation!
