We are an award-winning Architectural Firm specializing in Historic Properties and Coastal Area homes as well as ADU's (Accessory Dwelling Units) of all sizes and styles. We provide personalized design services from the initial meeting thru Construction and Move-in. Kim founded her practice in 2002 to create architecture that restores and compliments the rich aesthetic history of San Diego while contributing to its evolution. our 3rd residential project with Kim, creative, meticulous, easy to work with and a great listener. She works with a network of talented support professionals, GC, decorators, land scape architects. You end up with an amazing team to help you thru the entire building process. very well respected in the community and with our area review board it is important to work with someone of Kim's reputation and stature. Kim is a superb architect - the perfect blend of creativity and practicality. She brings a calm, professional confidence to the job and finds a way to work with everyone. She is extremely well connected in the design/building community and has earned a solid place for herself and her firm. Literally every aspect of our major renovation was considered, analyzed and a successful strategy worked out. I can think of no design element that did not turn out as well as planned, if not better. Kim certainly exceeded our expectations and delivered a superior end product.

We worked with Kim for several years to design our dream home. The 12,000 Sq. foot home in La Jolla turned out super nice. She is great to work with, listens, suggests, designs, works hard and on time. What else would you dream of from an Architect??? It was a pleasure to work with her and we would do it again any time. We hired Kim to design a sensitive remodel for our 1922 California Craftsman bungalow. Primarily, the project was related to a kitchen redesign, however, utilizing Kim's expertise, we updated the entire interior of the house in period-specific form, including the design and realization of a wood-paneled room dividing arch, Greene and Greene-inspired wood trim, imperial plaster walls, and to top it off, a completely rebuilt fireplace employing Laird Plumleigh art tiles. This last particular point, we really appreciated Kim's assistance as she accompanied us to help lay out in real time the design in Plumleigh's facility. Another nice touch was Kim's suggestion of incorporating 10% quarter-sawn oak strips into the new white oak flooring for floor stability and visual interest. I'm certain that Kim's experience covers genres other than early Craftsman, however her design sense and historical appreciation can return outsize beauty, even within a modest dwelling.

We worked with Kim to restore our 1920s Craftsman home in North Park. After interviewing several other architects, we knew with 100% certainty that Kim would be the perfect fit for our project. Not only did she come up with design and layout insights that we never would have thought of, she provided thoughtful, respectful and determined guidance throughout the project. She helped in every way possible... including the eventual Mills Act designation we received for the house. My husband and I are both very demanding, and high maintenance, clients, and Kim was able to keep us happy and content at all times. She's got an incredible relationships with contractors, builders and city officials. She's just the best... PERIOD. If I could give her 10 stars, I would!
