Allison has always been in love with interior design. From an early age, she can remember spending endless hours watching design shows on television, fascinated with the impact of design on our everyday living environment. She loves the idea of walking into a space and being able to visualize it at its full potential. Allison believes that interior design is an art form that takes the ordinary to extraordinary, achieving practical solutions with beauty and elegance. Graduating with an Advanced Diploma in Interior Design from Sheridan College has allowed Allison to apply her passion for design, transforming her dream into reality. Since graduating, Allison has put her knowledge of the interior design craft to use redesigning numerous different spaces for friends and family. She looks forward to working closely with clients, and helping them create practical results that will delight them for years to come. At Kaleidoscope, we believe that you should love everything about your home. Our aim is to help you create a practical space that works for you, and makes your life easier in every way. We used Kaleidoscope to redesign the main floor and the bonus room of our new house. We wanted to created a space that was more functional and organized, relaxing but also visually intriguing. We didn’t really know what our ‘style’ was. We knew we needed a lot of closed storage to hide all the kids toys and we wanted something that we’d still like in 5 years’ time. Trendy but timeless, high-end look but on a budget. Not an easy feat to accomplish. Kaleidoscope understood our needs from the beginning and was able to identify what style worked for us, something that fit our aesthetic style and our functional needs for our family. Our main floor now feels open and spacious, but also cozy and organized. And our bonus room was transformed from an unused, forgotten space to a dual office that is used everyday. One of the things we appreciated the most was Kaleidoscope’s expertise on where and what to invest in. Identifying the pieces that would make the space feel elevated and we should spend the money on, and which items we didn’t need to. How everything came together was something we couldn’t have come close to achieving on our own. Kaleidoscope provided options that all worked for us and within our budget. It was a pressure free environment and we will definitely be using them again for our next project.

It was a pleasure working with Allison when she took the reigns and helped us design our condo. My husband and I have different tastes and she pulled together our preferences perfectly! She helped us do the on-the-ground installations. The picture boards she presented were exactly representative of the final product. We would highly recommend Allison and Kaleidoscope Design!

We used Kaleidoscope to finish our home renovations which included purchasing furniture and carpets as well as finishing the design of our family room. Allie was professional and pleasant from first contact right through to the end. She took the time to understand what exactly was important to us and what our end goal was. She incorporated all of our requests into her designs and options and was quick to offer alternatives. She helped us problem solve a couple issues quickly and professionally. We could not be happier with our choice to work with Kaleidoscope and would recommend Allie and Kaleidoscope 100%.

The colors, materials and designs which Allison proposed are excellent. The outcome is elegant, warm and very much in alignment with my tastes. Tastes which Allison seems to have captured from our discussion on her first visit. Always cheerful, energetic and personable, we had a pleasant and effective working relationship. The financial, timing and other aspects of the contract were communicated clearly, professionally and in a very timely manner, setting the stage for that comfortable working relationship.

Allison's design skills and creativity translated directly into many thousands of dollars of savings, as we did not have to move just because our lifestyle needs changed. We are now happily living in a 1+ condo with a baby, with both parents working from home (saving probably $1,000 every month compared to where we thought we'd have to move). Everyone we spoke to thought we were nuts to stay, but that's why you hire a professional. I would highly recommend calling Allison before making any decisions (moving, renovations, or layout changes) because she will see things that normal people just won't. I'm in absolute awe at her ability to think outside the box and come up with design solutions that are as functional as they are pretty to look at. Her space planning ability is second-to-none, and she can source the right pieces to back it up. In this environment, it's important to find people who are willing to be bold and challenge norms - Allison pushed us to try new things and we are so glad we worked with her. Brilliant design!

What attracted us to Allie's design expertise is that she wasn't cookie-cutter. Most designers push a modern agenda, creating an unrealistic living space. Allie was different, in a good way. She worked with our style, drawing in contemporary elements, but realizing it was a family space that needed to be lived in. She transformed our space into a true family home - warm, traditional, yet current. She designed a space we could be proud of, build onto and grow into. She is a consummate professional and very meticulous. We are forever grateful for her counsel.

Allison provided a very tailored design for our main floor which incorporated some of our existing furniture. She ensured every individual piece had a purpose and fit with the overall design. She worked with our style and she was even able to find alternatives when we weren't in love with a particular piece of furniture. Allison is very professional and takes prides in her work.

We highly recommend Kaleidoscope Design Studio. Allison worked with us on accessorizing our condo, we wanted her help in pulling together a finished look. We love the look she created, it perfectly reflects our style and works with our space. Allison's advice / design was excellent. Working with the furniture and decor we had, and working within our budget, she pulled together a design that we truly enjoy everyday and that we get compliments on from visitors. We love the colours, textures and artwork she recommended. We appreciate that her design included features that we never would have had the confidence to undertake on our own, including an amazing gallery wall for the bedroom, textured art in the living room and hanging shelves in the bathroom. Allison is a talented designer who her knows her stuff, and she is also very professional and pleasant. She developed a clear contract for working with us, which was good for setting expectations. She provided detailed floor plans and plans for hanging art work, etc. She is organized, responsive to questions, and guided us as needed. I know that working with Allison has saved us money as her design recommendations work.

Incredibly creative and good value. My wife and I live in a small rented condo. Allison was able to completely re-conceptualize how we used the space, add a ton of storage (always lacking in a rental unit!), and turn it from a space for busy young professionals into a home for a small family. Her creative use of space sets her apart from other designers I've used. Allison can envision things that would never occur to me - and they work!

I recently worked with Allie for decorating our new condo.I did not exactly give her a mood board but evey little thing that she picked from the fabric,furniture,paint color to the metal finish met both my aesthetic as well as functional needs.Her attention to detail is phenomenal.Infact,I did not change a single thing and the 1st draft was pretty much the final one.I had a tight budget and also wanted to keep few of my existing furniture.Allie did a fabulous job blending my old and new furniture and decor.Also,she is very approachable and easy to work it.She patienly answered even the dumbest of questions I asked her.I cannot recommend her enough.Look forward to working with her again for future projects.
