Jannis is a true professional and it has been a pleasure to have worked with her on our home remodel. She had very practical plans to make the house more modern and functional. She is very creative and thinks outside the box to ensure the new designs are not only beautiful but flow with the original integrity of the home. Jannis redesigned many areas of the home including: our master bedroom, master closet, and master bath. She completely reconfigured those rooms and it turned out beautiful! We are very happy with the look and the space in those areas of the home. It is the updated modern master retreat that we were looking to achieve. Jannis is great to work with and has lots of wonderful design ideas. She is very talented and we enjoyed working with her.

After many years of trying to decide how to renovate and update our kitchen we decided to call Jannis for guidance. Jannis was recommended by a builder friend of mine who had worked with Jannis on several projects over the years. We knew we wanted an open concept but couldn't visualize what to do once the walls came down. Jannis' architectural expertise with the structural decisions needed along with knowing how to recognize the separation needed in one large space was perfection. The before and after pictures speak for themselves. I highly recommend Jannis and would hire her again and again.

We hired Jannis to help us on two projects, a screened in porch and remodeling a master bath. She was wonderful about incorporating my ideas yet also giving recommendations from a designers perspective. I found her to be very knowledgeable and her ideas were very insightful. I feel that if you are going to all the time and expense to do a major project you need the eyes and knowledge of a design professional like Jannis.

We met Jannis thru our contractor in an early meeting to discuss our kitchen renovation. Jannis asked us what our issues were with the current layout and our desired outcome. After a few minutes she came up with an idea that really clicked with me and my husband. We decided to move our powder room from between the kitchen and family room to a new mudroom area, open up the kitchen and family room and expand the laundry. We also added a screen porch with fireplace that gave us the entertaining space we wanted. Jannis provided us with many drawings we continued to tweek until we got them just right. She was very informative on why a design may or may not work, she listened to our ideas, requests, concerns, etc. and was always responsive to emails and calls in a timely manner. We are very happy with the result. Our renovation is everything we wanted and more! It is beautiful, spacious and most of all does not look like it has been "added on" in any way. The design and layout feel like the home always looked this way. We also appreciated the emphasis on the construction itself. Jannis knew what types of support beams, foundation walls, etc. we would need and where. Her knowledge helped our contractor build our dream right and of sound quality. Working with Jannis, and our entire construction crew, was a pleasure and enjoyable! Our house will now be our "new home" for many years!

I really enjoyed working with Jannis! She planned my addition and complete new kitchen. Jannis had great ideas to make my project a dream kitchen. My contractor appreciated her ideas and attention to detail. The plans she made were easy for him, and his subcontractors, to follow. Utilizing her talents and years of experience, Jannis has a gift for not only listening to a client's vision, but hearing what the client is saying. Jannis can quickly transform random thoughts into a workable plan. As a builder, she makes my work much easier, due to her attention to details and vast knowledge of building practices.

I use a trusted contractor for my home improvements, who in turn uses Jannis' design services. When I asked my contractor to bump my contemporary house out a room, top story and bottom, he suggested that we employ Jannis to create the design. I was skeptical that any design was needed for the job I wanted - a simple bedroom addition below and an office addition above that. It's at the back of the house, so I didn't care much how it looked. A door, a room, a closet or two in each room. However, Jannis immediately made several suggestions that had not occurred to me. She designed the addition to fit much better with the design of the house. She designed the closets to suit my needs. Now, instead of having an awkward looking addition, I have what looks like a natural extension to the house. Her services were well worth the costs. I am very glad my contractor steered me towards her!
