Chi siamo

We are a multi-disciplinary practice working with clients on residential, commercial and industrial projects. Our specialty is working with clients to create beautiful homes, with period homes a large part of our output. We value the heritage of the inner city areas, yet keep our focus on a robust modern approach to design. Heritage buildings make up a fair proportion of our work as a natural extension of having an inner city practice. We like to see the projects through from concept to completion.

Karmatecture is the expression of good design enriching the lives of our clients whilst respecting civic values and environmental responsibilities. We have worked with many clients since greg prentice, B.A.Architecture, B.Architecture, took over his fathers practice in 1999. Our projects have been across all disciplines, but has always come back to the principal focus of home design. Examples of our works have been featured on Grand Designs Australia and other publications.

We found Greg really easy to work with, from our initial meeting he "got" the concept of what we were visualising. The structure, finishes and internal detail came together with seemingly little effort, which we would attribute to his knowledge of what products work where, great design and ability to bring it all together. Dealing with the processes of local councils with any queries that were raised along the way re DA were answered quickly and promptly. Gregs professionalism and skills have made our journey in designing our duplex effortless, and he comes highly recommend.

Was great to work with Karmatecture on our recent renovations. We had a very tired, dated terrace that needed front to back updating and reconfiguring. With the entire rear; bathrooms, kitchen and flow to courtyard needing a major overhaul. Taking off the back wall of the house and creating and open plan kitchen, dining and level flow to an outdoor entertaining area. Previously the entire back kitchen area was dark and gloomy with a low ceiling, now we have light streaming in with a raised ceiling to the eaves. It's not only practical, with natural light all day long, but just a great architectural space to work, cook and works for our family on many levels.

Karmatecture have designed my house and office layout. Which I believe to be an absolutely outstanding job and I would have no hesitation in recommending karmatecture highly.

We hired Karmatecture to help us turn our modest house into a proper family home. We went from a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house to a 4 bedroom and 2.5 bathroom house that is a true family home with plenty of space!
