Galaxie Home Remodeling

It was one of the worst experiences in my life, their subcontractors spoke so horribly about them. I gave them thousands of dollars & the job never progressed after 3 months. Eventually fired them & contacted an attorney. They never responded to the attorney so decided to just cut my losses. They so took advantage of an older women/widow. Work was never completed.

Galaxie did nice work on our full bath. We decided to make some serious updates that required structural work and the Galaxie crew finished the job quickly and efficiently.

Let me start by saying Galaxie’s team is a pleasure to work with. I was more than comfortable having the crew in the house by themselves and my bathroom remodel was done with great attention to detail. Communication with my project manager was good as I received updates almost daily.

When we called Galaxie our kitchen remodel was long overdue. We did plenty of research and price comparisons before deciding on Galaxie and we are so glad we used them. We hired Galaxie based on their promise to remodel a new kitchen in three weeks. They accommodated our needs completely. Our new kitchen is better than we envisioned.

Staff was knowledgeable and kind. These guys care about what they’re doing, and it shows in their work. Super impressed with the turnout of our new bathroom.

Galaxie’s team was on time and dedicated to their job when remodeling our new bathroom. We get compliments from friends and family all the time on the quality of work and difference in the look and design. Our bathroom from before was a complete mess. Job well done!!!

Galaxie handled the remodel of my kitchen. They connected a dryer vent to the flue of my furnace. I did not know about this until I had an HVAC specialist inspect my system and tell me of the dangers of that (carbon monoxide and fire hazard). It is not something that is up to code. I also started getting bad headaches during this time which I found out is a potential symptom of carbon monoxide inhalation.I have contacted Galaxie and they said they would fix the issue. I had a scheduled date, but it had to be rescheduled on their end. Have not heard from them since. The contractor does not answer calls or texts and the email I was communicating with no longer exists. The whole point of my remodel was essentially to fix my washer/dryer situation, but they convinced me to have my kitchen remodeled as well. Now that issue isn't even resolved and makes me incapable of using the washer/dryer I have. DON'T work with this company. For the actual remodel, I had it scheduled beginning of summer 2017, it was started in 2018 and finished sometime in February. Was promised it would be done or at least started by October.

Project: Remodel a Bathroom It has been a nightmare and we are not done yet!!! The sales person/designer gave a great pitch and we signed a contact and wrote a check for $3,000 in May. Work finally started two weeks ago (August). It's been downhill and an uphill battle from Project Manager to Field Representative incorrect parts to no parts, no one calls back oh except when the work began and I gave them another $3000 with a promise from the Project Manager that NOW everything was on track! I am furious. We thought this was a reputable business because my husband found it on Home Advisors. We are at our wits end!!!! It is becoming increasingly difficult to remain civil. My husband rearranged his schedule in order to be home for a project that should not have taken this much time and still not done. Two measurements were taken for bathroom vanity by two different people from Galaxie, only for the installer to discover today that it is too large. It keeps going from bad to worst. Perhaps this review will get someone to respond since no one is returning our phone calls, how professional is that? We have the smell of sewer in our home because the bathroom has been torn up and toilet out for the past two weeks... Now September 12 … work not complete, contractors quit, Galaxie claim they were back on track … today they want another $3000 and we STILL do not have a working bathroom. Promised a temporary sink last week … vanity with no doors after they resized it … more promises … I am now seeking legal advice!

Excellent Job. Great communications and helped with the design. We shopped around and found Galaxie had the best value for the quality.

I would give a 0 if I could. They did a bathroom remodel and moved my laundry room upstairs. After the work was done, they held my final paperwork, including my release of liens, until I did a review for them online. Of course you are going to give a good review, with the horrible work their subcontractors do (they do not have their own work crews), you are afraid not to. Nobody wants a lien on their property. I gave them every opportunity to fix the mess they created, but every time they came out, they only made it worse. None of the workers acted like they knew what they were doing. The products they supplied were junk and fell apart. They tried to hide a leaking pipe at the water heater they installed. They messed up my whole house humidifier and water softener, neither of which did they even need to touch. The shower they installed leaked from the first use until the day it was removed. The laundry room was a disaster. I asked them to stack the washer and dryer, they said there was room to put them side by side (I don’t think they knew how), and yes, you could get them in the space side by side, but you could not open the drawers on the pedestals all the way and you needed to be a contortionist to use the washing machine because the door would barely open half way. They told me the work they were doing did not require a permit and nothing was up to code. They did not even install a floor drain under an upstairs washing machine. They did not seal up the floor under the free standing steam shower so when it leaked, the water poured into the 1st floor right through a light fixture. They messed up the vent to the dryer so bad that when you dried a load of towels, it rained in the bathroom through and around the vent fan. Do not believe any good reviews on this company, the people are having their final paperwork being held hostage to get those reviews. Read their contracts well. The clause requiring mediation costs a fortune and no attorney wants to deal with mediation. Any that will want a retainer so big, you cannot afford them plus fixing the mess which is what needs to be done to prove how much their mess costed you. I have proof of everything. The statute of limitations is still not up so I may still find the attorney who us willing to go after them. I had to have the entire bathroom and laundry room gutted to fix the mess they created.

They run a real tight ship and remodeled our kitchen with high regard to our timeline. We are pleased with the workmanship and custom fabricated counter tops. Excellent work thanks to Galaxie’s crew.
