Jaime quickly understood the look I was trying to achieve and far exceeded my expectations within my budget. She has great ideas and originality. J. Cashier Interiors, owned by Jaime Cashier, is an excellent and professional design firm that was highly recommended to me. Moving from coastal Carolina to a cozy but smaller Tudor in Albany presented two challenges. First, to design and plan an addition and second to incorporate my low country furniture and antiques into my new home. Interior designers must be experts in all aspects of design including space planning, color, lighting, furniture, materials and finishes, window treatments and much more. Jaime is an expert in both the technical and artistic processes of planning, designing, and managing the construction of interior spaces. Her creative vision, fresh and unique ideas, and critical eye were important in bringing my ideas to life. She always listened to my preferences; worked seamlessly with the architect and general contractor; adhered to a detail-oriented approach; stayed on budget, and her eye for color and fabric enabled my furnishings and accessories to be incorporated into a beautiful, comfortable, and cozy home. I loved working with Jaime and am a very satisfied client. Jaime genuinely shared in my excitement all along the process…that was an extra reward for working with a truly excellent and professional designer!

Jaime’s strengths are selecting colors, patterns, textures and materials to style a home. When I was on maternity leave 4 years ago I hired Jaime to style my dining room. She used existing furniture, paint, rug, lighting, mirror, and curtains to pull together a complete look. In 2021 I hired her for our kitchen renovation. She recommended a trusted contractor and worked to select cabs, countertop, hardware, lighting, paint, grout, backsplash, sink, appliances, hardwood, sexy bathroom tile, dining chairs. My house went from dark builder grade to bright airy Scandinavian. Like a magazine!

I engaged J. Cashier to assist me in fitting out a newly built condo in a very short time frame. From the first meeting with the builder's rep where we selected finish materials, I was struck with the good taste and professionalism displayed. We worked as a team and produced a result that met both our aesthetics while meeting our schedule and budget. I would not hesitate to hire Jaime for my next project.

We have a beautiful new dining room thanks to Jaime! She helped us with every aspect of the design- from what furniture would work best to paint colors and fabric choices. She even designed a banquette for us! She coordinated having upholstery done for the banquette, and for corresponding pillows and curtains. She was a pleasure to work with and the room came together so well.

Jaime has been a joy to work with. We have worked with her in a number of different capacities. She assisted us with decorating and party favors for a large party we hosted. The next undertaking was furnishing and decorating our newly built lake house. She helped us with an overall vision and stuck with us each step of the way until the vision came to fruition. After the completion of our lake house furnishing and decorating, we realized our home needed a little sprucing up. Jaime helped with room layouts, painting, decorating updates, etc. She was very helpful with finding painters, plumbers, wood workers, tile specialists and construction workers. She is a great listener and asks helpful questions to make sure a clear designer/decorating vision is understood by all. If you need design solutions for your home, there is no reason to call anyone other than Jaime Cashier of J. Cashier Interiors. My 1940's English cottage style home has traditional elements with French Country influences around every corner. Jaime knew exactly what to do to balance my two favorite styles and create living spaces that bring me and my family joy every time we enter a room. Not only is she an excellent designer, she is a creative and savvy problem-solver. Rather than suggest that we purchase a brand new sectional couch for my living room, she measured, custom designed, and re-installed new foam cushions in my Thomasville sofa so that my husband no longer has back pain after sitting with us for any extended period of time. Jaime has been a gift and an asset to our family, and I have no doubt she will be the same for anyone who calls on her! Our next project is to re-design our home office into a multi-purpose media room - we can't wait and won't work with anyone but J. Cashier Interiors!

I have worked with Frivilous Cottage Design over many years. My latest work was in the staging of my home as I was hosting my son's wedding brunch. The house really needed an update and Ms. Cashier guided me as I divested of dated items and added current decor, all with good humor and excellent taste. Ms. Cashier is always on time for appointments, meets all deadlines and has vision. I did not know that my home could look this good. The Capital District is lucky to have Frivilous Cottage Design in the region.
