We are sorry to read this review as we do everything we can to explain our delivery procedure before an order is placed. As customers are made aware at the point of order; via the delivery information page on our website; in our customer information pack and in our terms and conditions we only guarantee a kerbside delivery. We send our goods out via a third party haulier who will deliver to the closest accessible point to the property, in many cases this is kerbside. If the property has a smooth, level, hard-standing driveway, the driver may use their discretion to use a pump truck to pull the pallets closer. Unfortunately, in this instance, the property had a driveway which couldn't be accessed by the delivery vehicle nor suitable for a pump truck to be used. At the time of order, our sales team offered to send a smaller 7.5-tonne vehicle and break down the delivery into smaller batches in order to make delivery easier, but this was refused and an 18-tonne vehicle containing all pallets at once was requested.

Floors of Stone were not made aware of any difficulties with delivery until after the drop had been made and tiles moved by the customer, so we could not offer any physical assistance. As the delivery was signed for and deemed successful (at the guaranteed kerbside drop) the partial refund on delivery was offered as a gesture of goodwill.
