We built two previous homes that were "tweaked" from builders model homes. This was our first totally custom home. We quickly learned there is a big difference when you choose every detail. E G Crews helped and guided us through everything from design to paint colors. The house was completed about two weeks earlier than promised and E G Crews continues to fix anything we request, without question. Their mantra seems to be "We want you to be happy." We chose E G Crews because of their reputation and we were not disappointed. We love our home.

We chose Ernest Crews Construction from among several top builders in the Ocean Isle Beach area to build our retirement home. We received many highly favorable recommendations for Crews Construction from other residents of the community. We were impressed with the attention to quality, responsiveness, organization and follow-up. Since we were building remotely at a great distance, the assistance provided by Cathy Brown of Crews Construction was particularly valuable and made the process much less burdensome particularly through the many decision making steps. We were extremely pleased with the result of the construction and love our Crews home. We would highly recommend Ernie Crews and Cathy Brown.

Ernie helped make our dream come true. The house he built for us far exceeded our expectations. He did whatever it took to get things done well and on time. All of his contractors and vendors were a pleasure to deal with. I can't say enough good things about the project--from start to finish and even beyond!

Crews Construction built our dream home on the Intracoastal Waterway. They were wonderful to work with, from the design plan to completion and beyond! Excellent craftsmanship and detail throughout. Always attentive to your questions throughout the process. Having Cathy to assist in all aspects of design choices was a tremendous asset! She is able to take your vision (and likes) and guide you, so all the pieces come together and at the end and you have a gorgeous home! All this in addition to being mindful of your budget along the way. I can honestly say, that there is not one thing I would change about this home or my design choices. We've had 5 homes and I am happy to say this is our last and final forever home! Thank you Crews Construction!! Awesome job!

Ernie and Cathy were absolutely wonderful to work with. My husband and I built our house long distance which can be a difficult thing to accomplish. I found that I always knew the cost to build our home and what I needed to do in order to meet our deadlines. Ernie was dedicated to building the house the way we wanted it to be. Cathy was there to help us make choices when we needed her to step in and help. I would have Ernie build my house again ... He is the best! Bob and I thank you for making our dream come true. We love our new home! :-)

We hired Ernest G Crews Construction Inc. to build our new custom home and couldn't possibly have made a better choice. Ernie and his assistant Cathy were both extremely professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. The work performed by Ernie's team and all of the sub-contractors was better than we ever anticipated. Cathy was invaluable in her help with the endless selections to be made. Needless to say there is no way my wife and I could have accomplished this without her. Throughout the entire process, Ernie and Cathy took the time to ensure that all of our expectations were being met exactly as we had expected, and were always available to take our calls and answer any questions we had. When we made the decision to build our retirement home many of our friends and relatives told us what a hassle the process is. Well all I can say is that Ernie, Cathy and their team not only made it hassle free, but fun as well.

The entire Crews team built us our dream house at the beach. The team helped us from start to finish, including house design and architectural drawings, picking out exterior and interior colors, fixtures, roofing, elevators, flooring and the rest. Their sub contractors are very reliable. The quality is outstanding. All the team and subs were enjoyable to work with and are your friends along the construction process. Their knowledge of construction in the beach and salt environment could not have been more on point. While we experienced construction overages, we knew along the way that we were over and by how much. At the end of the construction we were not surprised by the final total and were within our budget for extras. Ernie Crews does not nickel and dime you along the way, extras are what they are expected to be. The best part, I am writing this 21 months after closing and are still thrilled with our house. Our home was awarded the Gold Fortified home for hurricane purposes, helpful for insurance costs.

My husband had been in the building trades for many years prior to retirement. After interviewing several other builders, we hired Ernest G. Crews Construction to build the dream home we had designed. The team of Ernie Crews and Cathy Brown, along with the skilled craftsmanship of their sub contractors did an outstanding job building our home exactly to our specifications with high quality materials and workmanship and completing the job within a reasonable time frame. Cathy Brown was invaluable in assisting with design suggestions and decorating ideas and both she and Ernie were always available for consultation when needed. Ernie was a regular presence on the job site making sure the finished product was exactly as we specified. His honesty and integrity are qualities that came across from the very first meeting; Cathy's organizational skills and ability to follow through helped make the experience a pleasure.

My wife and I contracted with Ernest G. Crews Construction, Inc. to build our retirement home in Ocean Isle Beach, NC after interviewing four other builders. It was critical for us to choose a contractor with excellent communication, an established team, and an impeccable reputation because we remotely built our home from NY. We only visited the build site once after the framing process for a walk-thru to validate various aspects and choose amenities for the home. The ability to build remotely was mainly due to the professional assistance of ECC's Cathy Brown. During the walk-thru Cathy spent several days guiding us through kitchen recommendations, granite, lighting choices, doors, appliances, paint, stamped concrete, brick, roofing, and other aspects to make our home our own. Cathy was able to tell us where to save on our budget, where we should spend extra funds and where to search for design inspiration on the internet. She also made excellent design decisions once the kitchen was laid out to improve logistical flow. Communication was key to building remotely. Cathy always responded to emails quickly and efficiently and kept us informed of the building progress via photos. All aspects of the build process went smoothly beginning with Cathy's recommendation for an architect, her design recommendations right through the transfer of water, sewer and electrical services. There were a couple of small issues during the build process but Cathy explained them to us clearly, made a recommendaton and resolved them rapidly via email. We've had more issues settling a single medical bill than building a whole home! We were very satisfied with ECC and specifically Cathy's professional, expert design assistance. The home turned out better than we expected, we have had very positive comments from relatives and friends and we would highly recommend both ECC and Cathy if you plan to build, especially if the process will be handled remotely and you require design assistance. They were very informative and knowledgeable about every aspect of the build. We looked at other builders in the area and we found them to have more quality work for a more personalized home. It was a great experience in building a home with them. If I ever have to do it again I would definitely choose Ernest G. Crews Construction again.
