Elena was great to work with. She spent time with me asking questions and learning about our goals before preparing a bid. She provided great tips during the initial walk through of the project for areas that were outside of the scope of work, ensuring that the project would be cohesive to the rest of the home. She was thoughtful about budget, but also pointed out areas that were worth investing in and would have a high impact. Elena helped us with a new layout for the kitchen and family room; for both she provided clear, multi-viewed mock-ups and dimensions for three different looks. Once we selected, she took it further and provided us with drawings and measurements sufficiently detailed for us to give to our cabinetmaker.

I have used Elena twice for design services!! She is extremely prompt with her communication and I find her 3D designs so incredibly helpful to see your vision on a screen before it comes to life. She’s great with size and scale for rooms and works with your budget and tells you where you should invest on great quality. And she had a great eye for design and style. I highly recommend.

I’m so grateful my friend recommended Elena for my house refresh. She did a great job selecting furniture for our bedroom and living room. She also helped me make excellent choices on living wood floor, upstairs carpet and wall paint color for the entire house; everything go seamlessly together, house looks light, airy and cozy just as I envisioned it. Elena is very knowledgeable about materials and can steer you in the right direction to avoid costly mistakes. So we finally decided the time was right to do a major remodel of our home which included 3 bathrooms, new paint colors throughout, new flooring in both up and downstairs, added storage cabinets, and reworking our den fireplace. She was highly recommended from friends in our neighborhood and after working with her and seeing our home design come to fruition, we too would highly recommend using a designer- especially Elena. My husband and I got overwhelmed with renovating our kitchen and bathrooms so we decided to reach out to Elena to help us design and manage the project. We’re so glad we made that decision! Her vision and design was everything we didn’t know we needed! We are absolutely in love with our finished space and it’s largely due to Elena. Her working relationship with our contractor made what could’ve been a very stressful project very manageable, too. On top it all, she was very responsive to our feedbacks and concerns and was very respectful. Bonus, her rates were very reasonable, much better than what others quoted.

Elena is a phenomenal designer. The whole process of my kitchen remodel with her was a breeze. First off, she listens very carefully to her client and feels very quickly what he/she wants. She guides you to the whole process while staying true to her own beliefs but maintaining a great respect for the client's wishes. She has impeccable taste, is up-to-date with the new trends but knows exactly how to find a perfect balance between new trends and sustainable design. She guided me through the whole design and build, making sure to check every time something new was installed. I was always incredibly impressed when she walked in and noticed some things that needed to be improved. She worked very well with my contractor, always listening to all parties and coming up with clever solutions for all parties when needed. I am so unbelievable happy and grateful I took her on as a designer and I would highly advise anyone to take the extra step and hire a designer as it makes the whole process so much easier and the result so much nicer. And if your designer happens to be Elena Dubrovksy, well then, lucky lucky you!!!

I cannot recommend Elena enough!! She was referred to me and once I met her, I liked her right away. I could not imagine re-doing my kitchen without her. I would have made numerous mistakes on my own and she brought things to my attention I had never thought. Many things have to come together to look amazing. And yes, you can do your kitchen on your own, but it just won't look "WOW." I am so happy I trusted her guidance and she was invaluable. She went over and beyond and spent time to make sure everything was right!! She recommended a contractor that she works with often and not only did he start on time, but he finished on time and was a prince of a guy!! As difficult as the process can be, I'm so glad I had her. I wouldn't think of doing it again without her.

Elena of D+Lena design is a very dedicated professional. She has excellent taste, modern and refined, elegant but subtle. She is generous with her advice and she often asked us questions that made us realize there were important details we had not even taken in consideration. She delivered her drawings on time and she has always been prompt in communicating, either by phone, email or text message. We plan to re-hire her for our next project for sure. We hired Elena to help renovate our family room and bathroom. From the moment she walked in she was making suggestions on things we could do to update our home. She chose the materials for our floors, designed the entertainment center, and bathroom finishes. She has a lot of out of the box ideas that are still timeless, modern, and sophisticated. She has a great eye for color and can match things together without even seeing them together! She will give you her honest opinion which I always appreciated. She has a great attention to detail. You can tell she has a lot of experience in large renovations as she's knowledgeable in a lot of the construction aspects. The vendors she works with are also top notch. We did have issues with the tile company but she handled it directly with the vendor and ensured I was compensated appropriately. Elena is great to work with. She's a very sweet and kind person on top of all her interior design talent. We will definitely work with her on future projects!
