Doug and his crew did a excellent job! very professional and easy to deal with it , they remodeled my basement and did so with very little problems came in exactly on budget, and the work was world class with great quality, I've worked with general contractors before and found this experience a first class A compared to others ive worked with , the work was done on time and on budget , you wont go wrong using Two Storey!

Our family's dream was to convert a barn/garage into an in-law apartment so that multiple generations could reside comfortably on the same property. Doug and his team were with us every step of the way, from initial concept through detailed design and build-out. The Two Storey Building team (and their subcontractors) spent *a lot* of time on our property, and everyone was always super helpful and careful. They kept us informed about the schedule and let us know about any changes or adjustments. When we had to make key decisions, Doug and his team made sure we had plenty of options and they talked us through the pros and cons. Overall, it was a great experience and we are totally thrilled with the finished project. Thank you, Two Storey Building!

Two Storey Building was a great fit for us in a number of ways: they are an environmentally focused/green company, they were willing to put up with changes in plans to expand or contract the project as needed, they were willing to use recycled or re-used materials when we could get them - and in one case, helped us get them! (2200 SF of re-purposed barn board), and they enjoyed working on our small, quirky yet complex project! This was the first time we have hired a general contractor, and they were well worth the extra money, identifying and coordinating extremely skilled crews from framing and roofing to electricians and plumbing and painting; procuring necessary permits; even finding a well contractor to dig a new well with good water. Crews were uniformly courteous and considerate of our very close (14 feet away!) 92 year old neighbor. During COVID, many construction projects are delayed months for lack of people and material resources, and Doug of TSB used his expertise and connections to minimize delays greatly. Mat, his lead carpenter, was patient and skillful, and had great design ideas but also worked our design concepts into the final picture. I would more accurately give them a 4.5 rating: we had some communication issues, some of which were our fault for not understanding all the details and ramifications, some of which were the responsibility of TSB - but to their credit, they accepted responsibility and apologized, and were eager to improve communication as we moved forward. No company is perfect, but I would definitely use TSB again if needed. They are good people, want the customer to be highly pleased with the final product and highly skilled at what they do.

We highly recommend Two Storey Building if you are considering a whole home remodel. We are now in our forever home after only 8 months and this team took care of everything! We completely gutted, remodeled and even reframed portions of our home - we wanted to be sure we had a team like Doug’s helping us out.

As a contractor, they have well-established relationships with companies they hire, and they do an excellent job managing the various people working on site. I highly recommend Two Storey Building! They have an incredible team of subcontractors with whom they have a great relationship - this helped with timely completion and quality workmanship. I have received rave reviews from everyone who has seen my house. The crew were courteous, professional and kept the work site clean at the end of every day. The project was completed on time and on budget. Two Storey had not previously worked with the architect I had selected but now the architect wants to work with them again - high praise! If you are considering them for your project - hire them!

I've used Doug, Bill and their team across 4 distinct projects, from 2010 - 2017, in two different homes of ours, with a value in excess of $150,000. It's Two Storey's honesty, dedication to quality, and respect that have kept me going back multiple times. These guys are a rare breed, indeed. One of our 4 projects did not go 100% as planned, and another contractor would have likely acted in bad faith and stuck the client with delays, change orders, or unresponsiveness. Two Storey stepped up and made the job right, and for that, I'll always recommend them to my closest friends. Know that you get what you pay for, and Two Storey will not be the lowest bidder for your job. That having been said, the lowest bidder will give you a nightmare, while Doug and his team will take care of your home and make you very happy at the start of the project, during the course of the project, and likewise long after the dumpster is gone and the ladders packed up. ---Dave and Karen Yesue, Bolton MA

Doug Storey has been such a delight to work with as we begin our renovation of a mid-century kitchen: thoughtful, creative and clearly invested in our project. We just finished a 2-hour meeting with Doug and Bill Storey and the kitchen designer they recommended from Metropolitan, Shane. They all took the time to understand what we like to cook and the kitchen rituals that are important to us. We feel quite lucky to have such grounded and highly regarded professionals on our project. We hired Two Storey Building to build a garage addition that included a music room, covered patio and grill area. The design was complex and integrated into the existing house. Furthermore, the job site was tight and very constrained, considering the waterfront location as well as the narrow driveway opening in a fieldstone wall. Throughout the project, Doug Storey and our lead carpenter Mat Friend were excellent to work with. Communication was easy, and it was clear from the beginning that they aim to make their customers happy. No project is without challenges, especially when you are living at the project site. But TSB did a great job at working with us to determine solutions as the issues presented themselves. All in all, I consider Two Storey Building an above average outfit, and I would certainty work with them again and recommend them for your project.

We contracted Two Storey building to do a major make over of our house. We needed 1 more bedroom, an new kitchen (build out) and 1 additional full bath. The whole project was planned and from start to finish it should take 5.5 months max. As the house was turned upside down we had to rent an apartment fro the duration of the work. As we were new to this many friends told us that it would take at least a few months longer, would go over budget etc etc. Doug Storey promised us it would be done within the time and budget. Doug showed us each week a spreadsheet with all activities, budgeted cost and actual cost made as well as the time line. To cut a long stor(e)y short every thing was done as promised and we are very happy with the results. As a result we hired them once more to furnish our basement, again Doug and his team had the same approach and everything was done in line with the agreements/timeline and budget. In case of any other project we would contact/hire him immediately

Two Storey Building did a design/ build of an addition to our home in 2010. The project included adding a family room, and master suite to our existing home. This was a major project, and a bit frightening to undertake. Two Storey Building proved to be the ideal contractors for this project. They listened carefully to our desires an concerns and came back with a design that flowed well with our existing home. Doug Storey was extremely respectful of both our time and budget, and worked diligently to insure work was completed on time and on budget. I recommend them without hesitation. Our neighbors were so impressed with their work (and how happy we were with Two Storey throughout the process) that they hired Two Storey for their own addition.

Doug and Bill are an exceptional team. I have been working with them for many years and can say they have been nothing less than a first-rate team to associate with. Their knowledge, experience, organizational skills, and especially their attitude is outstanding.
