I hired Bridgemont to complete a basement renovation project, on an old Toronto home, after speaking with at least 10 other contractors. From the beginning of the work, to the end, the team at Bridgemont was always available to answer any questions and were open to offering problem solving recommendations within the offered budget. Contractors who worked on site daily were always neat, and paid careful attention to detail in the early work as well as in the finishings. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a reliable and experienced team for small or bigger projects.

After discovering some serious issues with plumbing, flooring, HVAC, and wiring, we were recommended to contact Bridgemont to completely revamp our kitchen. As we have a 130-year-old house, the project grew beyond this and Bridgemont was with us every step of the way. Rocco, Marion, Celine and their team were absolutely excellent to work with and we would call them again if we ever needed to do another renovation. As with any renovation, issues arise and situations require responsiveness, agility, and a deep understanding of all the potential outcomes. You can't plan for everything, but with Bridgemont we felt very secure that our project was in good hands. They clearly understood our vision and were able to give clear advice when we were debating between two options. We truly appreciated their honesty when we encountered inevitable delays and how they worked around our schedules and tried their best to meet any deadline that they could. All the tradespeople they work with (possibly except for the cabinetry team) are professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Rocco has instilled a level of going above and beyond with his team and there is no problem that does not have a solution.

We found bridgemont properties independently after an extensive search and several contractor interviews. We were looking for a design-build contractor that was established and experienced, but would focus on typical homeowners and their needs, that could prioritize both function and beauty. Right away, we knew that Bridgemont was different, and the best fit for us. They have an amazing team, and incredible coordination between the contracting and design. We were continually impressed by their communication, organization, and transparency. We genuinely enjoyed getting to know Alyssa, Marion, Rocco, and many others that work with them, and we always felt that they had our best interests in mind. Alyssa and Marion had great ideas for our design and (very patiently !) helped us develop the style for our home. Our extensive renovation was not always smooth: we did have some challenges with city permits, we renovated at the height of inflation, and we did add a substantial amount to our budget. However, thanks to their communication and feedback, we definitely ended up feeling that every dollar we invested was invested well. Marion, Rocco, Melissa, and Celine worked with us to make sure that all our concerns were addressed, and every detail resolved. After living in our 'new' home for 9 months, we are delighted with the finished result, and the quality of work overall is excellent. We expected the renovation to be challenging, and it was, but we always felt that we had strong partners and reliable guidance with Bridgemont. Marion da Ponte and her team at Bridgemont Properties have been involved in two projects with us. The first project involved the design of an unfinished basement as well as a refresh on the rest of our home. We used her and her team again for their expertise to complete several projects and some design work when we recently downsized to a new home. This included the design of a built in office with Murphy bed, the completion of a walk in closet in the mudroom and helping with the selection of furniture etc to complete the space. Marion and her team were nothing short of fantastic in designing and managing the renovation of our ski chalet in BC. The project came in on time and on budget. Marion presented several options to consider, each one of which addressed our concerns, met our needs, and yet gently pushed us to step outside of our comfort zone. We recently used Bridgemont to complete a 700 sq ft addition directly above the front half of our backsplit home - adding a new level that included two bedrooms, one bathroom, a walk-in closet, an office and upstairs laundry. The initial planning process was collaborative and helpful - we had an idea of what we needed, but the floorplans provided early by the Bridgemont team allowed us to get to the final plan we landed on quite quickly. All permits, approvals, and paperwork with the city was managed through Bridgemont which was a big selling point for us. Not only did Bridgemont deliver on the project within communicated timelines and budgets, they were also accommodating with their work schedules when it aligned with blocks of time our family would be away from the home. Some of the biggest work was completed nearly end-to-end during very specific windows when our family was away for extended periods of time - which greatly minimized the amount of disruption put on us. We also lived in the house simultaneously to the reno for a good chunk of the later work efforts, and during this time the Bridgemont team was always respectful of our young family when they’d be in our living space. The communication between Bridgemont and our family was strong, with weekly email reports in addition to the many one-off phone calls and emails about the various decisions to be made. The design process was extremely smooth with Marion and Alyssa providing product choices based on a mood board we compiled for them - it removed any sense of overwhelm with the infinite options for flooring, wall colours, finishes and hardware out there. Ultimately, if we’re looking to renovate again we will undoubtedly go back to Bridgemont - the quality, collaboration and end-to-end management of all the details was well worth it.

This project was an extensive build. And it took some searching, but when I was recommended Rocco and Marion, it was the right match. After interviewing several contractors to take on our large reno/addition at our Toronto semi-detached home, Bridgemont became the obvious choice because of their experience, professionalism and keen eye for detail. While other companies came in with less expensive options, as a busy family of four, we needed a company we felt we could trust with our largest investment, our home. They came through in so many ways and it really meant a lot to us to feel secure and to feel like we didn't have to micro-manage the project. When they say "full service" they really mean it and I can't recommend this route enough. We really didn't have to worry about anything or execute any tasks apart from approving design decisions. Our reno was quite complicated (from our perspective) and Bridgemont handled every single detail - from concept, measurements and drawings to permits, a committee of adjustments hearing, building and design. Their team works so seamlessly in the background and this being our second major reno in 10 years, we truly appreciated this. Bridgemont is the most professional contractor we have ever worked with (and we have worked with many). Melea, our Project and Schematics Manager, is second to none. Her clear and prompt communication, expertise, knowledge and her ability to keep so many balls in the air at once was priceless. While we know our project was tedious and complex, we never once heard this from Bridgemont. They took care of everything and when issues did arise, they simply let us know and carried on. Not only did we achieve incredibly high craftsmanship and construction expertise from Rocco and team (everything was done professionally and so high quality), another thing we really appreciated was the thoughtfulness around design from Marion and team. When it became apparent that a design change could be made for the benefit of the reno, they would bring it to our attention and we worked together to make a decision on the choices presented. In one case, they realized that we could have a much larger shower (and take up "dead space" in our bathroom), after it had been framed out. We agreed to make it larger and they re-framed the space immediately getting to work. We are in love with our bathroom and so happy they bothered to take the effort to provide us with a better layout/choice. Another instance was when we had some permitting issues with windows, they offered an alternative in the form of skylights. This ended up saving us money and now offers much better lighting in our bathrooms. Bridgemont is always thinking about functionality and design and exceeded our expectations of what the overall experience would be like. The peace of mind (they never let the job site sit, they were always working) is invaluable. They completed on time and on budget and we are absolutely thrilled with our end result. Not only do we love our newly renovated house, we also love that it was not a needlessly stressful experience.

Basement Washroom Renovation: After a WONDERFUL experience renovating our home with Bridgemont Properties 6 years prior, we decided it was time to spruce up the only room that had yet to be renovated - our Basement Washroom. It was last renovated in the 1980s, with all the cracks, leaks and style to prove it. To us, it was a challenging, small, dark space. But Rocco and Marion's vision and expertise created a dream spa-like washroom, on time and on budget. Every crew-member on site was professional and thorough. Every detail was perfect and we could not be happier with the outcome of the space.

We bought a house in Aug'20 and chose Bridgemont to take upon the challenge to improve the flow of the house: put stairs in the middle of the house, extend the rear and optimize spaces. They exceeded our expectations in every sense! We quickly understood that they take care of any project as if it was their own house and they have VERY high quality deliverables. We had hvac, plumbing, framing, carpentry, electrical, floors, painting... Pretty much all! And they took care of EVERYTHING from permitting to putting forward light fixtures that fit our style for us to choose. When you don't know a thing about construction, you've got to choose people with integrity that have your best interest at heart, and that's Bridgemont. There were no surprises, and all costs/timeline were very well layed out. Without hesitation, I would recommend them to friends, family and neighbors.

Home renovations are almost always stressful. However, you can reduce the stress when you work with true professionals that care about the process as much as the end result. Marion and Rocco and their team are true professionals and were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We knew we were in good hands from the outset and felt very confident that we would love the transformation of our kitchen and master bathroom. We live in a boutique condominium which complicates matters as there are restrictions on noise and hours of work. All of Bridgemont's personnel as well as the trades were very respectful and careful to ensure the work was completed efficiently without unnecessary interruption to us or our neighbours. During the demolition and construction phases, we were amazed at the lengths they went to in order to ensure the work site was as clean and tidy as possible. Marion and Rocco listened to our needs and created a design that made great use of our space. We loved the turn-key design service which meant we didn't have to scour the city ourselves searching for tiles and fixtures. We simply went to the Bridgemont office and were presented with a selection of samples that had been curated for our review. We also really appreciated the weekly e-mails outlining what had been completed that week and what was planned for the following week. Bridgemont's creativity, attention to detail and the quality of their work was truly outstanding.

We selected Bridgemont Properties for our house extension after getting quotes and project plans from 7 other companies. They had the highest reccomendation and references from clients and Sub-contractors that we spoke to. They had the best communications, being prompt, personal and sensitive to our needs and requests. We received comprehensive e-mail updates through-out the projects 4 phases. Each phase had a time-line and budget and communications matched or exceeded our expectations and change requests were communicated and agreed in person where necessary. The project started in April and was mostly (98%) complete 2 weeks ahead of the deadline. The minor delays were out of the hands and control of the project management and any issues were completely and throughly addressed by Rocco and his skilled crews. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail ensured that the both the stuructural and finished quality was to an exceptionally high standard. The design/ feature recommendations by Marion and her team showed that the listened and considered our input as a valued client. I would be happy to use this company again and would recommend them for an equivalent residential project.

After hearing countless horror stories, selecting a general contractor needed to be more than just a leap of faith. We performed our due diligence, reviewed references, but ultimately only after meeting Rocco and Marion and assessing their professionalism and integrity in person, did we land on hiring Bridgemont. The Bridgemont team was very professional in their approach to project management. Communication was open and honest, with any questions being responded to within hours. As the project progressed, weekly communication was received summarizing work completed to date and next steps from a design, procurement and/or construction perspective. From a construction perspective, Rocco always maintained and displayed a level of calmness and superior expertise and knowledge. We believe his ability to seamlessly manage and take responsibility for any construction issues promptly and correctly, thinking outside of the box if required, differentiates Bridgemont from other contractors. We met the majority of the sub-trades, most of which have worked with Rocco for over 15 years. The strength and value of their relationship with Rocco was displayed through their dedication to both meeting times lines and providing the highest quality of workmanship. The pre-planning and thought behind the proposal resulted in the fixed price project budget being adhered to. Additions to the project scope did take place due to us including future renovation items as part of this project, but the pricing was always reasonable, and I never felt that Bridgemont took advantage to disproportionately bill for additional work. Timelines were maintained within a period of reasonableness with any short terms delays being outside of Bridgemont’s control. Communication was always open and honest, and any delays were explained with a constant urgency to address the delay. The design element of the project was superb. Marion and her team took our preferences and suggested materials and finishes that suited our taste and also presented us with options that we may not have thought of. We did not have to ask the team to source additional options to choose from as they had a great understanding of what we would like. They always kept our budget in mind and consistently found high quality materials. We often had questions or concerns that they responded to immediately and helped us in envisioning what the final product would look like. Overall, Rocco and Marion’s strength in project management allowed for a smooth delivery of the final product. On a personal note, we enjoyed working with Rocco and Marion and the renovation was as fun and as stress free as perhaps a renovation can be. Obviously from the above, we are providing a glowing reference of the Bridgemont team, towards who, throughout the project, our confidence never waivered. Our first experience with Bridgemont Properties was the renovation of the first floor of our 1930's Georgian style house. The kitchen was completely renovated whereas the rest of the first floor was upgraded to more modern wider and higher doorways and raised ceilings. Rocco and Marion did our renovation 10 years ago and we still look around and say we love our house. We did a three storey addition, and you can’t tell where the original house ends and the new space begins. They gave us a detailed schedule which laid out when we had to have things ordered so it would not hold up the job. The people who worked for them were polite and respectful whenever we would drop by and happy to answer any questions. If I had to do another reno, I would definitely have them do it, as it was a pleasure working with them.

I recently reached out to Marion at Bridgemont to help me with an interior decorating project for a new townhome I recently purchased. I called Marion because of my complete satisfaction with the work she and her team did for me several years ago. Back in 2011 I contracted Bridgemont to build a detached garage. Marion and Rocco provided expert knowledge and more importantly for me, an initial quote that was very honest and well laid out for me to understand. I’ve worked as a painter on many projects with Marion and Rocco over the last ten years and I have the highest respect for their professionalism. They are realistic about costs and start/finish times leaving no unpleasant surprises for clients or trades at the end of the project. I’ve worked with a number of different contractors over the years and can say with certainty that the quality of their work and their customer service are of the highest caliber.

We hired Bridgemont to gut and renovate our 30 year old condo. I cannot say enough about what a great experience it was. The project was under budget and on time. Time and budget are very important but they were only a few of the positives about working with Bridgemont. When renovating a condo one has to be concerned about neighbours. Your contractor will eventually leave, but you must continue to live in close quarters with your neighbours. Bridgemont had a dedicated liaison on the project who regularly talked to the property manager and neighbours throughout the renovation period - what a great idea! We moved from 2400 sq ft to 1535 sq ft so storage was a priority. I was amazed at the creativity of Marion and Rocco and their ability to squeeze out so much practical space given the restrictions they faced. Marion's help in the design process was invaluable. She made design choices based on our existing furniture and everything works perfectly. We have entertained several times since we moved in and everyone can't say enough about how great everything looks. I would highly recommend the Bridgemont team to anyone considering a renovation.
