D2D has been very creative in their billing: we were charged for the customary "get-to-know" meetings that occurred before we entered into a contract. Other unusual charges included several hours of the principal's time for entering project work-hours into billing software. A funny article (2 minute reading) about the color "greige" that I sent her cost us $78 for reading and sending a one-line response. Her office organization is poor and during our time there were repeated excuses related to "staffing problems". In summary: no, I sure would not recommend D2D to a friend.

I am so sorry we couldn't continue working together. We provided the detailed-by-line-item hours invoice you requested, since you wanted proof of our earning the retainer. The flat fee agreement you signed at the beginning of the relationship was all inclusive. Since you signed a flat fee agreement, we didn't enter our hours during the project. Once you asked for the detail, we had to - and it took HOURS. Wish you the best in the future.

We worked with Lena on a new 5,000 sf. custom home in Louisville this year. She and Jordan did a terrific job and the client loved their work. She was easy to work with and had great ideas and taste.

I hired Lena to design two bathroom remodels, as well as help with the lighting design of the rest of my house. Our master bathroom was a challenge- it has sloping ceilings and originally the shower was tucked under the short part of the ceiling (not ideal for my 6'6" husband), and was lined up with the toilet and sink, all on the same wall. The master closet is inside the bathroom. Lena was able to move the shower to the tall part of the bathroom and add a water closet and two sinks. The design is beautiful and now our bathroom looks like a fancy hotel and is so much more functional. Our other bathroom, which functions as our kids' and guest bathroom used to open into our daughters' bedroom. I seriously have questions for whoever built our house. Lena's design moved the door to the hallway so now anyone can access it any time. The fixtures and tile she chose really upgraded the space. It was great to just be able to follow Lena's lead and not have to make a thousand decisions on my own. The total cost of the project for 2 bathroom remodels and all new light fixtures was in the $10K-$50K range, but the actual design services were extremely reasonably priced (under $3,000).

I'm glad we chose D2D (Dare to Design) to update our great room, hall and guest bathroom. They had ideas I never would've thought of. Those ideas were just for our needs, as they listened well and had loads of pictures to show us to get an idea of what we liked. I enjoy our new look immensely!

D2D Studio, Inc has worked on TWO of my homes with 2 very different styles; modern and lodge. They are so easy to work with and their approach to getting down to what you like and dislike is really effective; they even worked with my husbands vision and my own to make the most beautiful fusion of styles. I am in the process of updating my current home with them and of course, we continue to be impressed by their work.

Lena & Jordan guided us on our three bathroom remodels. They have exquisite taste! Their ideas and suggestions were plentiful which allowed us to make informed decisions taking our personal tastes into account. D2D Studio even supplied the various artwork, towels, hooks, lighting, mirrors, etc to complete the look. The tile work was suburb. I am counting on them to help us with further projects. They are an awesome team!

Working with Lena was pure joy. She captured what I was looking for, and made it so easy for me. I cant say enough good things on how my home update project came out. Friends and family that have seen it were amazed at how nice my home looks. Especially all the little details that Lena was able to pull together. I would highly recommend.

I hired Lena to redo my entire first floor of my house. From the very start I was extremely pleased with her expertise and professionalism. She listened to what I was looking for and brought my idea to life. She kept in contact with me through out the entire project. She picked out the hardwood floor, crown moulding, baseboard, and paint which then i installed. Also all the lighting fixtures, which i also installed. She kept me on task so the project could be completed within my time frame. Then she came in and installed all the furniture,artwork, accesseries. When I arrived home it was completed and I was totally pleased. It was absolutely perfect. Everything came together perfectly. Window treatments to fabric colors. All within my budget. I will definetly use her again for future projects!

Love Lena! She listened to all of our needs, really worked with us to determine our style (mine AND my husbands!), and had a vision for how to morph it all together! We loved working with her and her subcontractors. If there were any issues (and there weren't many), she addressed the discrepancies and had fixes done quickly. Kudos!
