Third generation builders CGS constructs custom and semi-custom homes across North Alabama as well as offering remodeling and restoration services. Back in the 1980's, Chris G. Shindorf began building with his father. After his dad retired, Chris formed CGS Construction, LLC in 1992, and built upon the family reputation to make CGS a premier home builder in North Alabama. In keeping with the strong family tradition, CGS welcomes Chris T. Shindorf, who recently graduated from the University of North Alabama and joined the CGS team as a licensed builder this year. For three generations, the Shindorfs have maintained a reliable reputation for building beautiful homes throughout our area.

Total rebuild after tornado and was completely satisfied in all aspects of the project. Then Chris gave a quote for restoring and replacing a historic house from the outside walls and roof redone. This included a small stairs off of front porch to a gate instyle with the historic house. Inside included repairing old oak stairs to second floor, and a coffered ceiling in a front parlor to complete gutting of old plaster bathroom to a stylish tiled and upgraded plumbing , toilet and sink and a three shower heads and tiled bench with glass door. A vent fan that takes moisture outside and installing all the accessories and grip bars.
