destenb's ideas
Like the height/width of this bar/island. Seems to hit the sweet spot of being usable for food preparation as well as dining in a way that brings the two uses together to promote interaction between the chef and everyone else. I like the materials and colors. Like the beams and wood in this kitchen.
I like the vaulted ceiling and beams, and given that this seams to be a smallish space, the open design feels more appealing, i.e. it doesn't have that long warehouse feel that I associate with some open designs. Looks like sky lights over the dining area which bring in too much light for my taste. I like a little more cozy, snug feel.
Like the idea of having some comfortable seating in the bedroom.
Cozy. Private
Clean, classical Like the cabinets and drawers.
Colorful, natural, not manicured.
Like the windows, cabinets, drawers, panelling.
Bar where people can sit, relax, and talk while others are preparing food. Prefer narrower bar. Like white wood, cabinets and drawers.
Bookshelves!
Outodoors conotes relaxation. Seating encourages engagement and interaction. both sheltered and open
Cozy, classical design , well lighted. Ceiling is a little too funky for my tastes.
Balconies. Blend of traditional and modern. Multiple levels provide everyone the option of having their own private space
open but with traditional design and colors. Island isn't so big that it impedes easy circulation.
Like the bar concept where people can sit and talk to others who are working in kitchen. don't care for the dark, heavy granite top.
colorful, varied elements, not too manicured.
Mediterranean. Outdoor living and relaxing.
Like the porch, windows, balcony, colors.
Simple, traditional, (almost retro), but updated and clean.
Modern, but not too modern, design with solid traditional material and arch. elements.
Nice use of traditional, solid materials, and features with a modern design sense, but not too modern.
A little Georgian, which is one of my favorite architectural styles.
Shaded seating area. Brick and beans. Makes me think of Mexico or, with different materials, Hawaii.
Functional, a great use of space and attractive. Easy to see what everything is and where it is without unstacking or moving items around. I Like deep drawers that are high enough such that bending over or squatting is unnecessary. and you can look down into for easy visibility.
