A sunken spa nestles into the corner of the courtyard, with a metal ring encircling it and concealing the cut ends of the ipe deck. Think about using this idea as an extension of the bathroom. Purpose to create privacy for a soaking tub with large window for natural light and view (think onsen) additional benefit of shelter for outdoor orchids and tender plants if needed in winter.
