Ensuite Shower - We would like to put in a built-in niche on the wall between the shower and the water closet, above the potential bench discussed in other photos. Ignore the tile/style, this is just to show the niche. We do like different tiles (smaller) to be used in the niche, and possibly a slab tile like this.
Master Ensuite - Only showing this because we would like some unique cabinet arrangements/features for Jackie's hair tools etc. At the end of the day James needs two drawers, we would like to store towels for each person (open cabinetry) and the rest is Jackie and storage for bathroom items like toilet paper etc.
Master Ensuite - No. 1: We LOVE the cabinets, undermount sinks, faucets on counter. We love the black hardware and this is our favourite shower (everything about it). The floor and counter colour we leave to SGDI, we like what was chosen here but are not crazy about tile shape. We like herring bone? We do not like the lights above the mirror and would prefer two mirrors to showcase a tile accent wall, add some bars/shelves for plants and wall sconces. Love the lights and greenery.
Master Ensuite - No. 3: Similar layout to ours and we love the light. We like the wood cabinet, cabinet layout, black hardware. We also like a tile accent wall around the vanity and two mirrors. We would add wall sconces though. Not crazy about the counter, shower tile and floor tile, but still like it and the overall look of this bathroom.
Master Ensuite - No. 2: This has our two mirror look with bars/shelves, more plants and even a part way up marble backsplash. Given our space we are thinking tile the entire wall around the vanity. We like the cabinets (thought we would prefer a little bit more rustic looking wood/grain/finish) and love the black hardware, undermount sinks and black faucets on the counter. The floor is interesting... We would need to discuss with SGDI.
Master Fireplace - This is another example of the style of stone work we like around the fireplace: darker (blue/grey etc.) and rough/natural. This particular example however is completely impractical for our location and this would be very expensive. We need a lot smaller and lighter veneer or something. TBD with SGDI.
Master Bedroom - Only showing this photo because we really like the white shiplap ceiling and this level of reclaimed/rustic exposed beam. Is this too much to replicate this look at all three vaults in the house? Can you replicate a beam like this? (do them make this kind of facing that would look good?)
Master Bedroom - We love this photo/style. We would like a rustic accent wall on the entire wall behind the bed, up to the vault. We are discussing with SGDI about shiplap all vaults throughout the house and possibly facing the exposed beam at the peak of the vault with old/reclaimed rustic wood. Does the bedroom accent wall match this exposed beam, like in this photo? We love the furniture night stands, but do not want lamps, rather we would like wall sconces or hanging lights from the ceiling. All other lights to be pot in the ceiling, except for possibly a chandelier hanging from the beam over the stairs, discuss with SGDI. This room is carpeted, but we are considering hardwood with a massive shag rug, discuss with SGDI.
Office - Exact layout of our proposed office and approx. size. Cool light idea, plus we will have extra room with the vaulted ceiling. Discuss window being desk to ceiling length or possibly floor to ceiling and the desk crossing it to the other side of the room. But then need stationary drawer elsewhere... Thin drawer beneath desk?
Office - Mirror everything. Floor to ceiling storage at the start of the desk at door; four deep file cabinets (min 27") that are legal folder width (15-1/4"). On top of that will be a cabinet that opens to a printer (so need outlet in cab) and further storage above that to ceiling for paper, toner, other misc. then clear under desk to corner and around to a 12" wide (narrow) stacking three drawers under the desk (built in) unless desk crosses a floor to ceiling window. Cabs above long part of desk to window wall? Open shelves? A mix like this picture? They need to be min 24" above desk or possibly even 30" and have undermount lighting. Window to be desk to ceiling height or even floor. Style to match farmhouse/rustic of master... (not this photo, this is to illustrate layout).
Living Room - This photo is only shown to explain what we want to do with the ceiling... shiplap either side of vault and put a faux beam running down the center. We plan on adding two double skylights to the street front vault (like over the front door), keeping the existing pots/smoke alarm (they are new) and adding speakers. This design is to be repeated for vault up to beam separating upstairs hallway at the front door and in the master/ensuite/office. Discuss this design plan with SGDI. Do we have to border shiplap? Discuss w/ SGDI.
Front Entry - Very similar to our entry way. Only have this photo because we like the mill work. Discuss with SGDI and where it begins and ends in our entry way, we think it should be similar to this; carry into the powder room? Hallway upstairs? Not opposed to wood spindles (plain/straight) replacing metal in No. 1 to 3 pictures, but what colour??? (SGDI)
Front Entry - No. 3: Little smaller windows, still farmhouse and a wood finish. A little wider to match our width. Love the matte black hardware and style of handle. Would prefer to obscure the glass.
Front Entry - Darker wood and only for windows as opposed to six; SGDI to advise on both, plus not as many black accents like No. 1 and No. 2. These are the kind of door handles we like, and one on each door.
Front Entry - No. 1: We love this door style, however want the bigger handles (one on each door). Discuss privacy (blinds, frosted glass etc. with SGDI). Also what wood finish/colour goes best with interior decor and outside house appearance. We generally like a little lighter, showing wood grain and possibly even the distressed/burnt grain type of wood. LOVE the matte black hardware.
Front Entry - We would like to do a bench at our front entryway - TBD with SGDI. Can we move the console table to across from the powder room and can we incorporate a full length mirror there or at the bench? Or just a decorative mirror above either? Perhaps we do like this photo and have a nested bench we pull out when needed and just a full length across from the powder room?
Front Entry - Ignore the glass around the door (we cannot fit this in), we want to discuss solid doors with SGDI (as opposed to the glass options below). IF we went solid, this is the type of door/hardware we like. Final colour/finish to match our exterior.
Powder Room - Ignore everything but the gold wall fixtures and white wash basin type surface mount sinks...
Powder Room - Love this fixture... We still want wall mount, and need SGDI advice on gold vs. matte black. Super old and simple looking to match the rest of the decor in the powder room is what we are looking for.
Powder Room - Like the cabinet design: floating, wall to wall and rustic wood type. Do not like the blue, faucet, general room colours or anything above the counter (see other photos). The counter is coole but likely expensive. A thinner rustic wooden or stone is what we are looking for. If floating, we would like under cabinet lighting.
Powder Room - No. 1a: Love the sink, very old farmhouse/wash basin style. Love the cabinet mix with the counter top and love the wall mounted fixture and lights. Debating if we should make them gold with black everything else. Like the mirror and millwork.
Powder Room - No. 1: Love the wall mount fixture (debating gold/black). LOVE the copper circular bowl. If not wall to wall floating cabinet, then like this which is freestanding rustic furniture type with bowl on top. Dont care for the circle mirror as much but like the lights (gold too?). Love the stikwood accent wall behind the cabinet. I think we should do the same to match decor in rest of the house...
Ensuite Shower - Another example of the marble or marble looking type of tile we like. All fixtures/hardware to be matte black. If SGDI disagrees with floor ceiling windows as suggested in layout concept, TBD.
