Kannankeril-Lacke Residence
I like the designated seating area with lots of spaces to sit. A central seating area to have guests outdoors - even if this is like our dining area. Not wedded to bench seating, but we do want seating with back support. Fire pit is lovely, but even a heat lamp or something electric or propane to keep us warm is great! Fire pits sometimes get too smoky for my eyes
Hopefully there’s a way to have the patio connect with the grass in a distinct yet connected way like this photo. We are open to ideas of where the patio can either be improved or possibly moving it to another area in the yard, depending on the design! Love how much of it faces the yard to make the space more open and connected.
Love how the plants are bunched together and lush, without much dirt around. Our yard has some great spots with plants clustered together, which is a little more our style and also doesn’t take up too much space. We have a large bush with plants underneath, but they’re scattered around and seem to take up more space than needed. We also love lots of green and how this photo has clean lines while also packing a lot in a small space.
Love how the greenery goes up along the walls without hitting into the space. Our patio has lovely hydrangeas, but they take up a lot of the patio area.
We like the idea of a stone/concrete path leading through the patio space. Also the mix of straight and curved lines here.
We like the extra seating near the outsides of the space (that leaves space to walk around, have a fire pit, or play), though we would want any bench-like seating to have back support.
Love the lighting on the wall
Open space with patio connecting to the lawn.
We love how the patio connects to the lawn while still distinct. Great lighting, too and lots of space to see kiddos playing in the yard. Feels more open, which we want to prioritize.
Like the idea of having the tree provide shade and have it be a little sitting area or relaxation nook - either in addition to the patio or part of it.
The raised seating area seems fun and interesting - makes it two spaces while still cohesive and welcoming.
I like that there are dining and relaxing spaces and the inclusion of a gas fire pit. Overall aesthetic feels a bit too "old" though...like something my aunt would do with her yard.
I like that there's a dining space and a relaxation/hangoug space.
