Minneapolis: Traditional Kitchen Remodel

The homeowner’s of this Maple Grove split level home were in dire need of creating more space for their growing family. The couple wanted to open up the space to their living room area, create multi-functional seating, and match some existing finishes. A wall separating the kitchen a living room was removed to open the space up to the rest of the main floor. For additional multi-function seating and storage, a bench was added off the kitchen and the island. The hardwood floor in the rest of the home was carried into the kitchen to create a cohesive space. Throughout the main floor, new millwork and doors were added to match the flooring. Cherry custom cabinets and the natural quartz countertops by Cambria, accent the floors. The space was finished with travertine backsplash, scattered glass accent tiles, and onyx pendants above the island. The new open space is great for large family gatherings or just tea for two!
