It's About Wine and Books (About Wine)
Our clients were avid collectors of cases of wine as well as books. They wanted their wine cellar to combine both loves. The bookshelves are as tall as their biggest books and run the length of the millwork pieces. Each row of racking holds 11 bottles and a space below for display - equivalent to a case of wine. Cabinets along the left wall conceal the cooling system and wine paraphernalia. It also holds the eSommelier wine management system.
The floor is made of cork and the rock work is Whistler Basalt. The hardwood is sustainably harvested Canadian Brown Maple with stain.
