Homelands
In the summer of 2012, Mr and Mrs Symondson asked us to create a swimming lake with decking on a greenfield site. We were able to build it using Firestone EPDM liner. The decking was built using green oak. We also built in an automatic top up system , planting shelves and a cold water shower. Planted this spring it is developing nicely. The clients are keen swimmers so in addition to a deep diving area around the decking we installed a commercial drench shower near the summer house. Richard, the client, wrote of the project:

As you predicted, as the planting areas have matured the water settled so it is now ‘gin clear’.
The recent warm weather has attracted not only a plethora of dragonflies, newts, swallows, ducks and so on but also a lot of family and friends with their swimming gear tucked under their arms!
