The theme started as "sophisticated gender neutral with subtle elements of whimsy and nature" - and I think we achieved that! The space was only 8' x 10', so storage solutions were key. The closet drawers and side table were both (very worn) antique pieces that were given a new life!

L'arrivo di un figlio è per molte coppie l'evento più atteso, che regalerà ai futuri genitori momenti di gioia indescrivibile. È anche un evento che però richiede una profonda preparazione: diventare madre o padre cambierà totalmente la tua vita e devi essere pronto sotto ogni aspetto. Uno di questi aspetti è la cameretta che ospiterà il tuo bambino durante i suoi primi mesi. La nursery andrà progettata e arredata a sua misura, tenendo conto di tutte le sue necessità e facendo estrema attenzione ai complementi d'arredo che si andranno a scegliere. In questa stanza il bimbo dovrà trovare un luogo accogliente e sereno dove riposare e tu dovrai avere tutto l'occorrente a portata di mano per accudirlo: fasciatoio, corredino per neonati, culla o lettino con sponde per quando sarà più grandicello. Arredare una camera per neonati non è quindi semplice ed è diverso dall'arredare una cameretta, ma ti sveleremo alcuni trucchi che ti semplificheranno la cosa.

Come arredare una cameretta per neonati

Arredamento e decorazioni delle camerette per neonati devono tenere particolarmente in considerazione i materiali con cui i mobili e i complementi sono creati, per rispettare le due caratteristiche principali che assolutamente non dovranno essere trascurate: igiene e sicurezza. I neonati sono creature delicate, per questo evitare il più possibile i rischi dovrà essere il fattore primario su cui basare qualsiasi progetto. È consigliabile che la culla e il lettino, realizzati preferibilmente in legno, siano leggeri e facilmente trasportabili. Avere una stanza dedicata al proprio bimbo può essere utile, ma spesso le mamme scelgono di tenere la culla vicino al proprio letto. Per questa esigenza esistono lettini per neonati dotati di rotelle, così da essere facilmente spostati di stanza in stanza. Bisognerà prestare particolarmente attenzione al cuscino, al materasso, alle lenzuola e alla federa, che dovranno essere realizzati in fibre naturali come il cotone oppure con materiali anallergici. Il materasso non dovrà essere troppo morbido e non più alto di 15 centimetri e leggermente inclinato in testata, mentre il cuscino, anche se è preferibile che non venga utilizzato, non deve essere troppo spesso. Il fasciatoio dovrà essere attrezzato in modo da poter avere a portata di mano tutto l'occorrente durante il cambio e la toeletta del neonato, dagli asciugamani ai pannolini alla vaschetta per il bagnetto. È consigliabile quindi acquistare fasciatoi con cassettiera e vaschetta incorporata, meglio, anche qui, se provvisti di rotelle, in modo da essere facilmente spostati secondo le esigenze. Attenzione tuttavia che un fasciatoio con rotelle è sì più comodo da trasportare, ma può risultare instabile e rendere più complicato il cambio di pannolone: è preferibile quindi posizionarlo contro una parete in modo da conferirgli più stabilità.

Quali colori scegliere per la cameretta del neonato

Decisi i mobili e complementi essenziali, è giunto il momento di dare un po' di colore alla nursery del tuo bimbo. Per scegliere il colore giusto, bisognerà tenere in considerazione alcuni fattori, primo fra tutti la tipologia di vernice da utilizzare. Qualsiasi colore sceglierai, assicurati che la vernice sia inodore e a base d'acqua. Esistono anche vernici naturali ed ecologiche, prive di composti tossici e sostanze volatili che possono nuocere alla salute del bambino. Un altro fattore da tenere in considerazione è la spiccata sensibilità che i bambini hanno nei confronti dei colori, soprattutto in tenera età e lo stretto legame che c'è tra colori e stati d'animo. Colorare una cameretta di verde, blu o azzurro donerà una sensazione di calma e tranquillità. Nello specifico il verde invita all'ottimismo, mentre l'azzurro stimolerà la riflessione. Il giallo e l'arancione sono colori più vivaci e oltre a favorire il buon umore, stimoleranno la comunicazione del bambino.
