Box Tree
I rarely design landscaping or hardscape, but the home was set so high on its foundation, a steep 7 step stairway would have been needed to climb up to the front door. Instead, I designed a terraced path that begins at the driveway level and gently curves its way to the front door. Every 8 feet or so, one or two steps takes you to the next level so by the time you reach the front door, there are only two wide flagstone steps that take you up to the landing at the front door level.
