Need HELP for kitchen lighting

    I think I'd just do a simple drum shade in this spot -- if the shade is translucent, it will give plenty of light to the area, but it will be plain enough to keep the casual and formal eating areas distinct. You can still go a bit larger than what's there.

      Thank you, I have been looking at wagon wheel chandeliers, so many to choose from. Also having trouble finding...not all can be extend at least 75 inches.

      For larger rooms 40 X 47.8”

      The beauty of the 'cage' and open frames, is it fills the air space, but isn't heavy looking.... please show photos of the rest of the area? :)

      So does it help to light the kitchen as far as "task" lighting goes? It just seems odd to me to be surrounded with dining tables and chandeliers lol, so maybe there is a more productive choice?

      Also would you be willing to change the formal dining light?

      yes would change formal light to 2 new ones that complement each other. We rarely use formal dining room.

      Have you thought to eliminate the formal area? And move that table over? perhaps put a nice console in the formal area, more a part of the entry/stairwell area?
