Sink splashing (again) powder room

I have read so many threads on this, I just can’t believe there isn’t a formula! It blows my mind that with all of the specs on each sink and faucet there aren’t recommendations for the best or recommended size/specs for each for optimal use. I just want a bath sink and faucet combination for my powder room that rinses the edges of the sink bowl well and doesn‘t splash all over my guest bathroom counter. Am I missing something that in reading all of these threads I still don’t know what to look for? There are a ton of differing opinions! Maybe a plumber has some tried and true combinations?

That's the nature of the beast. Most sinks that sit above the vanity countertop are perfectly round and depending on where the faucet lines up with the angle of the bowl it can create a problem. Quality plumbing fixture companies usually have more than 1 height option for sink faucets and you may have to look at other manufacturers to look at different lengths of the spout, especially if your holes are already cut into the countertop. I'm not sure if you tried your local bathroom design specialist company or not yet but that would be a good place to start. Typically they are better at designing how the products interact with each other when a plumber doesn't care how they interact, they just install. In other words bathroom design companies like us hire a plumber to install what we design. Plumbers are not designers. Good luck!

Thank you, I will do that this week. We’re doing the vanity as well so the only possible constraint is the existing plumbing from the wall. The vanity itself is sort of the “feature” so I thought it would be pretty easy to choose an under mount sink. I just assumed once I chose the sink, it would be a matter of choosing between whatever faucets had the correct specs and were recommended for that particular sink by the manufacturer. Or vice versa if I wanted a particular faucet. But, I’ve learned it doesn’t work that way.

it will be good to meet with someone anyway because after searching so much yesterday for info on sinks and faucets, I’ve been tempted to go with a different style of sink. It’s the guest bathroom, but it’s also the highest traffic bathroom in our house. I would like something that will stay as clean as possible, but it would be nice to have something interesting if it fits in our budget. It just drives me crazy that the current faucet and sink splash so much - the bathroom looks messy right after I clean it.
