Should Door Bells be a statement or should they blend into the wall?

    I prefer for them to blend into the wall, however, I think it really depends on the door bell itself. If you have an antique door bell you may want it to be a design feature, or if your door bell has tube chimes, again, you may want it to be a feature. That being said, for standard door bells I try to get one that can be painted to blend in with the wall so it somewhat disappears. Just my thoughts...

      I agree. I'm going for a rustic/industrial look. I love the way the tube chimes look, but wasn't sure if it would be too much.

      No I don't think so. Tube chimes are great, especially if you can find some older ones. The sound is one of a kind, and really, chimes like that are hard to hide. So go the opposite and really set them off by featuring them. Good luck!
