My Pink Ashley has 2 pink buds, too. I may have some Ashley blooms this fall, still! Yay!

Kitty - You stained woodwork in the house you're selling? I want to buy a house from you!! lol And cookies, too? :) :) I got all of the roses pruned, and they're going in the garage Sunday. :) Now I want Phoenix Perennials' rose list!! lol Are you getting an actual catalogue from A&A? Or do you mean online? I'd love to get a catalogue in the mail!
Otterbon - You're having nice weather. :) Good to let your new roses acclimate. Gosh, I love your Peach Swirl blooms!!! I really, really want Peach Swirl. Your roses are all lovely. :) Forever Yours has such intense colors that merge so beautifully. :)
Jim - is this early for your area to be getting frost?
Judi - it's always magical when the snow comes and stays...until March, then we're quite sick of it. lol I hope you get some snow.
Windowsill - Thanks about my roses. :) :) Yup, last gasp of the season. It really hurt to cut off blooms today. I didn't mind the other days I was pruning, but today I didn't want to let them go, so I put the few I had left in a vase. Life of the Party is such a great rose!! Its fragrance is exceptional. When I prune, I'm always glad that I don't have huge rosebushes like Diane. It would be exhausting. Fist pump for getting Chandos Beauty!! Bees would adore the open form of your Ambridge Rose bloom. I loved the fragrance of Cathedral Bells (I want to get that rose again). I think I'd love AR's fragrance. Your Martha Stewart bloom is gorgeous!!! SWOOON!! You have roses in your apartment and that is a blessing. If they don't last as long, that's just a small thing. You've created an oasis in your apartment. :) :) Oh, I'll zip over and go to Logees with you!!! lol That would be so much fun for us all to get together and shop and a really great nursery! Good luck with your nasturtiums. I ADORE your hibiscus bloom!!!! SWOOOOOOOOOON!!!! That's to die for!!
Fig - a little frost will be fine. Hopefully it's not a full on frost.
Kitty - you're leaving pretty soon!! Are you going to have guests asap or are you going to have some time for yourself and renovations? You have the perfect personality and skill sets for your B&B. :) Your ideas are so inspired!! I'm glad we get to vicariously go on your journey with you. :) :) Oh, I see...you answered my questions. You'll be open by summer potentially. Wow, brochures are a great idea!! You're going all out on your B&B!! It's great to have built-in shelves. I was confused when I read "fireplace." I went back up for another look, and what I thought was a stairway is a fireplace. :) It's beautiful!! Your new home has such great history! If you knew which room the Roosevelts stayed in, you could frame a picture of them and put it on the wall. With his polio effects, he probably stayed on the main floor. Look at all of those apples!! Great crop!! Oh, that reminds me of when the kids were smaller and would come home from school, and sometimes I'd have melted chocolate chips (with a kiss of milk) and strawberries, nuts, apples, etc. to dip. Yum!! You are the best to buy a home from...deep cleaning the home and carpets. Wow! Oh, and look at how healthy your A&A roses look!! So many leaves! They look great.
Kentucky_rose - yes, I'm really glad we both got Chandos Beauty before it sold out. :) It would have been nice to have been able to get Pink Ruffles. But I'm happy with what I got. :) Your first picture is my favorite!! I think that a small bouquet with Heritage, St. Patrick, and your red blooms would be amazing!!! Those are my faves...mmmmmm :) I'm glad you have Francis Meilland...what a beauty!!! South Africa has great color!
Trish - yes, Chandos Beauty...finally got it again!!
Susan - I'm glad your heat is dissipating. Phew.
Kitty - if you weren't interested in running a B&B, you'd be a great Project Manager. :) :)
Jim - tis the season. Hopefully you'll get more blooms that the frost won't touch.
Here's the last of my roses for this year.
Gruaud Larose (light pink), Beverly Ann Clay (tall), and I can't remember the dark pink. Gruaud Larose has a very nice fragrance still.

My Life of the Party's last hurrah...smells wonderful!!!! Very rosy.

Jim - I'm glad your frost hasn't damaged anything, and that you're going to have a nice, warm day. :) :)
Don and I have to go vote today to try to keep Alberta from separating from Canada. What a mess. It's costing $100,000,00 for this referendum. Ugh.

There, I've posted about our horrible premier. Blech.
Okay, I can be done. lol

Oh, what an interesting puzzle we have here! Based on the cultivar name:
Noa38121 = Showpiece Berry (Lakeview) = Timeless Purple= Flower Carpet Berry (Star)
Noa11356= Showpiece Purple = Eau de Parfum Berry (Wayside)
These should be correct based on cultivar name, unless the budwood also got messed up (as we saw earlier with Purple Lodge, lol!)
Below is Flower Carpet Berry / Timeless Purple that I saw in my local garden center, I thought it looked quite nice.

And while we are discussing new purple /magenta varieties, may I put in a plug for Light Years Away? New Bedard rose from Della Reese x Ebb Tide. Super high petal count, refined form, strong fragrance, disease resistant and almost thornless! I snagged below plant from my local garden center

It's funny you mention that, because the customer service person I was corresponding with was also named Rachel (Rachel A)
Not sure if it's true, but I read somewhere that Rachel from Palatine is now working for Lakeview Roses

Ben - yes, I really love LYA. Have you ever tried Sweet Madame Blue? I adore mine.

Does it hav googood repearepeat bloom f you?

It repeats pretty well for me, and it's only just now starting its third year so I haven't seen its full potential yet. I do live in a hot, sunny location with a long growing season. Photos don't do it justice and it's one I would replace in a heartbeat if I lost it. Group photo is from June of last year, solo photo from October 2 of this year.

@Moses, Pitt PA, cold W & warm/humid S z6, I do tend to research roses obsessively, but have found that no amount of research is as informative as the experience of growing a rose in my own garden, so sometimes I just roll the dice.
@susan9santabarbara I am happy to hear that Lakeview is so responsive. I would love to get one of their limited batch Garden Delights, but we’ll see how the supply holds up to the demand.

I agree with others that knowing where your zone 9 friend is could make a big difference. Also, whether you're thinking of a classic HT or FL, or an Austin or similar rose.
