Fiorito Interior DesignWhen a large family renovated a home nestled in the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains, all bathrooms received dazzling upgrades, but in a family of three boys and only one girl, the boys must have their own space. This rustic styled bathroom feels like it is part of a fun bunkhouse in the West.
We used a beautiful bleached oak for a vanity that sits on top of a multi colored pebbled floor. The swirling iridescent granite counter top looks like a mineral vein one might see in the mountains of Wyoming. We used a rusted-look porcelain tile in the shower for added earthy texture. Black plumbing fixtures and a urinal—a request from all the boys in the family—make this the ultimate rough and tumble rugged bathroom.

The window wall was the most desirable location of the cabinet to avoid water on the window if shower had been on outside wall. Also inside wall was designed for shower for warmth while showering.
Hunter Kitchen & BathWhat a great hall bathroom! Two or more kids will feel comfortable moving around each other getting ready for school in the mornings in here. The tub/shower combo looks great (take my word for it) and the board & batten wainscoting will hold up to a lot of misuse. Distressed white shaker custom cabinetry was a huge plus for this client, and the vanity fit perfectly, as well as adding storage with a few drawers. All the standard upgrades were included, like soft-close doors/drawers and all-wood construction.
I worked with Robin McGlinchey, an interior designer with a firm by the name of HomescapeStagers. She has a knack for color, spacing, and keeping the best interests of the client at the forefront. Plus, one of my favorite installers worked on this job - Bruce Harlan of Harlan Custom Contracting.
