We believe that every space deserves beauty and purpose. For over twenty years, our practice has sought to enrich the evolving conditions of daily life through meaningful design. Our firm is run as a studio, with a strong culture of shared knowledge and open discussion. I have been fortunate enough to have worked on a number projects with Marcus Gleysteen. His firm is now working with me on yet another. I have many architects in my circle of family and friends, yet Marcus Gleysteen Architects is my "go-to" for many reasons. Marcus has gifts which make the process seem like a conversation; a collaboration of ideas and needs, all neatly corralled into a concept which is guided by his amazing artistry, design knowledge, and vision. Most importantly, my ideas, thoughts, and concerns, are heard. My language is not that of an architect, so to understand and translate my thoughts into a working drawing is not necessarily easy. Marcus and his team seem to excel at this. It's a collaboration, with an explanation and philosophy given every step of the way. Lastly, the finished product… I believe their finished work speaks for itself! Their unique process of working with a client is one that can not be underscored enough. It takes a potentially tense scenario and makes it an exhilarating journey. Our projects may be unique, but Marcus' teams' focus on, and partnership with, clients is not.

We have featured his work extensively in our annual book and on our website and blog, focusing on his work's beauty and functionality. MGa creates homes that are sophisticated and beautiful, but also suitable for everyday family use. Marcus Gleysteen is one of Metro Boston’s great residential architects. I have had the pleasure of doing many large and small scale projects with him and his team and they always deliver superior results. They are well versed in the technical aspects of construction that is needed for high end homes today and their organization and project management make their homes easy to build – saving their clients both time and money.
