Creative and Sustainable Design for both residential and commercial interiors. Laura Fedro has 25 years of professional residential and commercial interior design experience. She comes naturally by her design skills: Her great, great grandfather was a well known landscape designer in Sweden, and she cherishes his design journals, filled with beautifully rendered watercolors and detailed landscape plans. Both her mother and aunt were early influences with their love of interior design and fashion, and many days were spent hunting through antique shops in rural Iowa. Laura graduated with a degree in interior design and immediately began designing interiors for the nationally renowned firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill in San Francisco. She was a designer for Ralph Lauren in NYC and for Herb Newman and Associates in New Haven, CT. She founded her own design firm in Bozeman in 1995, became nationally licensed by the National Council of Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ) in 1998 and has been a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) since 1985.

My husband and I loved working with Laura and her excellent team. They made the design process fun while also keeping us organized and on task. Laura was also wonderful with hearing our ideas and making them a reality. We now live in our home full-time and couldn't be happier. We are very grateful!

Laura and her team provided exceptional guidance for a house we were building miles away in Maine. We're not that bright when it comes to interiors, so her steady hand, good humor and sharp sense were essential as we tried to create a modern look for our home away from home. We'd recommend Laura in a heartbeat, and if we begin feeling insecure about future design choices, we know we can call Laura to straighten us out.

Laura combines exceptional taste and creativity, with a business woman's eye for a deal, attention to detail and bringing things in on budget. She possess a wealth of sources who can provide an extraordinary range of unique pieces or finishes that add a signature element to the properties she designs. She listened to my ideas and what I wanted the space to look like and then came up with some really unique, creative ideas that have made much better use of the space and turned it into more than I ever thought it could be! Laura and her team provided thoughtful and inspirational advice on the refurbishing of my home in Livingston, about an hour from Bozeman. From the initial walk-thru and brainstorming thru the installation of furnishings the team at LFI was respectful of my ideas yet were able to open me to new concepts. While working on "soft goods" it became apparent that a few modifications to the interior walls would make a big difference and their design ideas were great. Also, they were able to source a blacksmith who created stunning screens for fireplaces -- expanding the scope of the project in a way that will forever be appreciated.

LFI was professional, responsive, creative and fun! Laura and her team were involved from start to finish -- from meeting with the architects and builders in the design phase, through sourcing, ordering, and fabricating every piece of furniture in the house, every rug, every drapery, to decorating the house for our Christmas arrival -- without being asked. Laura is a great combination of businesslike and creative, and has both talents in quantity. And she makes the process fun. After all, if you're spending that much money, shouldn't you have fun doing it? My husband sums it up by calling her "Saint Laura". We both recommend her whole heartedly.

Laura has amazing talent in color and design! She is a great listener to what the client is looking for and if you are unsure, she has wonderful ideas. We did a remodel of a house on the river and want it to accommodate our large family for dinners and be "western elegant" too. She found wonderful fabrics and woods that reflected our wish for a home on the river that looks like it has been here for a long time but inside is open and inviting with great style. I have used her several times over the years and can recommend her highly!

My husband and I hired an architectural firm a general contractor and Laura Fedro Interiors to design, build and equip our dream home. Frankly, without Laura Fedro Interiors to "pull it all together", our house would have been a mess. Instead, from bottom to top, it is a joy to live in and suits us perfectly. LFI helped steer the architectural design so that it more suited our lifestyle and helped guide the GC and subcontractors on things as subtle, but longlasting, as the texture of our walls, the composition and size of the base and the case, etc., etc., etc. We had never considered hiring an interior designer before this build but I am extremely happy that I did. It was a very satisfying and worthwhile experience. We highly recommend her.

Laura has always been a joy to work with, her creativity and years of experience show through in every project. Over the years in the kitchen and bath industry I have had the opportunity to work with countless designers, so when it came time to seek advice for my personal home I had a long list of talented people to choose from. I chose Laura to help me design a space that reflected my personality and although it is still a work in progress (the space not my personality) we have an amazing vision for our home that is sure to impress.
